Tuesday (7) is not just about football for Flamengo. The club's basketball also plays an important match in the NBB sequence. The game is another in the series against Fortaleza, and could ensure red-black classification for the next phase.

Time and where to watch Fortaleza x FlaBasquete

< Flamengo's double round starts with basketball. This is because Palestino x Flamengo only takes place at 9pm (Brasília time), while the basketball team takes the court at 7:30pm. To watch the game, simply tune in to SporTV. Fla TV+ and Basquetpass, NBB streaming, are also options.

Flamengo can kill the confrontation

The series is the best of three, and Flamengo already opened 1-0 by winning the first game. In other words, they can end the match by winning today. Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday (9), if necessary, but it may not happen if Mengão wins.

This is because the series would be 2-0 for Flamengo, eliminating the need for a third match. The opponent, after all, could no longer draw and continue with chances of qualifying. Thus, Mengão guarantees a place in the semifinals in advance, gaining time to rest while waiting for the opponent to be determined.

Gustavinho's team has three unbeaten games

If they achieve this feat, the team would reach the fourth game undefeated, still not knowing what it's like to lose in the knockout stage. In the round of 16, the classic against Botafogo was no different: 2-0 for Flamengo, without the need for a third game. In other words, the team has not yet lost in the playoffs. There are two victories in the classic and one against Fortaleza.

But before starting the important stage in the national tournament, the team had its biggest frustration of the season. Flamengo's last defeat was to Quimsa, in the Champions League Americas final. But before, Mengo had already won eight in a row. In other words, the team's moment in the season is good.

Basquete Cearense, in turn, won two and lost another two of the last four games. The situation is different, and while Mengo finished as leader of the NBB, Fortaleza was only eighth.

Fortaleza did not beat Flamengo this season

It will not be the first meeting between the teams this season. In the regular season, before the knockout stage, the teams played twice and Mengão won both. In other words, there are already three victories throughout the year, which generates even better expectations for the classification.

In December, the game was even more balanced, and Flamengo's victory was tight: 77 to 74. But in April, Gustavinho's team walked the court with a 20-point advantage. FlaBasquete defeated Ceará by 93 to 73.

Olivinha retires at the end of the NBB

Flamengo tries to reach the final through Olivinha. An early fall would mean farewell to the untitled idol. The God of Race announced his retirement, and will no longer play after the end of the current edition of the NBB. If Fla falls before, the player will not have such a special farewell.

For this reason, the squad plays for the star, so that Mengo can reach the decision and Olivinha has a special farewell game. Mainly lifting the trophy, to close your victorious cycle with a flourish.
