Former goalkeeper Bruno Fernandes, who gained national prominence when playing for Flamengoand was convicted of the murder of Eliza Samudio , now works as a furniture delivery man. The revelation of Bruno's new occupation was made by the "Rio das Ostras 24 hora" profile on Instagram. A video published on the platform shows the former player unloading furniture from a truck in the city center. He would be working for a furniture company that also operates in Cabo Frio and Macaé, other locations on the coast of Rio de Janeiro.

In 2023, Bruno had already released videos on social media promoting a furniture company, which indicated his approach to this new field of activity.

Bruno was sentenced to 22 years in prison in 2010 for the crimes of murder and concealment of corpse of Eliza Samudio, in addition to the kidnapping of her son Bruninho. At the time, he was a goalkeeper for Mais Querido, and his arrest interrupted a career that was on the rise. Bruno became Brazilian champion in 2009 and, in 2010, he was in advanced negotiations to move to Milan, in Italy.

Created by Flamengo and considered one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, Lucas Paquetá does not hide his love for Mais Querido. Residents of the city of Juazeiro, in Bahia, the place where Daniel Alves was born, had even demanded that the statue made in honor of the player be removed by the city hall. The movement took place after the player's conviction, in February, after the result of the athlete's trial was published.

The work was inaugurated in 2020 and has already been vandalized on at least two occasions, since the defender was arrested in January 2023. In a statement, the city of Juazeiro stated that it was not thinking about removing the statue from the city at this first moment and reinforced that she was busy with more urgent demands.

Daniel Alves was sentenced to four years and six months in prison for sexually assaulting a woman in the Sutton nightclub, in Barcelona, ​​at the end of 2022. sentence came two weeks later at the end of the trial. The defense of the former player from Barcelona (ESP), Paris Saint-Germain (FRA), Juventus (ITA), São Paulo and the Brazilian team stated that they will appeal the first instance decision at the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) and in the Supreme Court of Spain.
