The trial of Gabigol, striker of Flamengo, which was scheduled for the next few days, was postponed to the second half of this year. The information was confirmed by journalist Vene Casagrande. The player and his legal team were already in Switzerland when they were informed about the date change. During this period, Gabigol will continue to train and participate in matches normally, thanks to the suspension effect granted.

Gabigol, one of the main names in Brazilian football, was about to face an audience that could impact his career. The reason for the trial has not yet been publicly detailed, but it is speculated that it involves contractual and disciplinary issues that extend from his time at European clubs to his return to Brazilian football.

GABIGOL WILL KEEP NORMAL LIFE AND TRAINING FOR FLAMENGO

The postponement of the trial brings temporary relief to the attacker and Flamengo, which could count on the player in a crucial phase of the season. However, expectations are high, as the future decision could have significant consequences for the athlete's career and for the red and black team.

Gabigol's legal team was prepared for the hearing in Switzerland, demonstrating the seriousness with which the case is being treated. The presence of lawyers in Europe indicates that the trial involves issues of great importance, possibly with international implications. The defense strategy must be robust, taking into account contractual details and current sporting regulations

One day after the elimination to Atlético-MG in the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil, on penalties, striker Wallace Yan spoke to Flamengo TV and showed personality when commenting on the decisive moment . The young man wasted the last penalty for Rubro-Negro in the dispute held last Wednesday (6), at Arena MRV.

In a 1-0 victory in regulation time, Flamengo took the match to penalties, which ended 4-3 for the Minas Gerais team . Wallace's shot, which went out of bounds, paved the way for Everson to convert and advance Atlético-MG.

"I SEE IT AS LEARNING"

Even in the midst of a difficult time, the number 64 assured that he is calm and focused on improving: " I've received a lot of positive messages from fans and family . I think this is only a learning experience. I'll keep working because I know I can improve every day," he said.

An unprecedented chapter in Brazilian football will be written this Saturday (09), when Flamengo and Mirassol face each other for the first time . The duel, valid for the 19th round of the Brasileirão, takes place at Maracanã and will also mark the debut of the São Paulo club at the traditional Rio stadium .

THE RISE OF MIRASSOL

Historically distant from the national divisions, Mirassol began its growth trajectory after revamping its training center . The turning point came in 2019, with its return to Série D, beginning a consistent path toward the top flight.

In its first participation in Series A, the team from the interior of São Paulo surprises: it occupies 5th place with 28 points , ten less than the leader Flamengo , and presents a superior performance, for example, to Santos, which is in 15th place and also moved up from Series B.

RECORD AGAINST CLUBS FROM RIO DE JANEIRO

As Flamengo has never been relegated and the two clubs have never met in the Copa do Brasil, this will be only Mirassol's fifth game against a Rio de Janeiro team . Previously, the São Paulo club faced Bangu, Portuguesa-RJ, Volta Redonda, and Vasco. Although the match against Mengão is the last of the first round, the Leão did not face Fluminense or Botafogo due to the duo's participation in the Club World Cup.

FLAMENGO MOMENT

Leading the Brasileirão with 37 points from 17 matches—one behind second-place Cruzeiro—Flamengo heads into this unprecedented clash determined to maintain its top spot . Kick-off begins at 6:30 PM (Brasília time), with exclusive coverage on Premiere (pay-per-view).
