Tite's extensive career is marked by great titles and admiration from players. And also for curious expressions used in press conferences, some that don't even exist among the more than 430 thousand words in the Portuguese language (the famous "neologism").

On the long-awaited day of the coach's presentation at Flamengo), some terms from "titês", a nickname given by social media to the coach's vocabulary and which gained strength during his time in the Brazilian team. See below:

Trainability

Combination of the words "training" and "skill". It is the players' ability to assimilate the guidelines and be able to execute them on a daily basis in training.

Unbalancing outside players

These are the famous wingers, fast and sharp players, who can break through the opponent's lines on the sides. Older people will remember Jô Soares' catchphrase on television in the 80s: "Bota o punta, Telê". They are the same wingers, but nowadays they run all over the field to score, accompany the flanks and need to support the attack.

Terminal player

Nothing more than the well-known "man goal". Those players who specialize in finishing and are responsible for completing plays (most of the time it is the center forward).

Hybrid player

These are players who can play in different ways within their position . Example: a winger can be acute, looking for a goal or assist, or he can be an articulator who looks for constructions using tables (not to be confused with versatile, which would be acting in more than one position).

Rhythm player

He is the one who sets the pace that the game asks of the team. They are usually the midfielders, who set up the plays.

Bow and arrow

This is the player who has both the ability to build and finish the plays.

Constructor full-back

They are those with the ability to play more in the middle and build plays inside the field.

Supported play

It is the style of play with an approach to players to exchange passes in the offensive phase, that is, the lines move compactly. The idea is for the ball carrier to always have a passing option nearby.

Last third

Imagine the field divided into three parts: defense, midfield and attack. The last third is equivalent to the offensive sector and is located more or less between the intermediate and the baseline.

Rec 5

It is the pressure that players must put on the opponent to recover a lost ball in the attacking field. The idea is to avoid a counterattack within five seconds.

Zone 14

Imagine the field divided into 18 parts (or zones). The 14th is the one at the entrance to the area and is where studies consider that the most dangerous plays come from.

Perform

Nothing more than the team or the player being able to have a good performance in the match.

Opportunize

Give opportunities to players who have not been used, in order to enable them to perform within an organized team.

Complacency

Term used as a way of giving a "vote of confidence" to a player who does not live a good phase (the popular "has credit").

The first week

From the announcement to the press conference it took seven days, five of which were already intensely lived in CT. Tite's arrival took over the red and black programming last week. Training Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday until Sunday off and the rerun this Monday.

Estudiantes is already in Rio de Janeiro for the first leg of the Copa Libertadores quarterfinals against Flamengo , scheduled for Thursday (18), at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã. The Argentine team trained at Fluminense's facilities , preparing for the decisive duel.

Coach Eduardo Domínguez tested a more conservative formation, including an extra defensive midfielder in midfield, as a strategy to contain Flamengo's attacks. According to Radio Província 1270 in La Plata, the change could result in only one striker on the field , demonstrating a more solid defensive posture.

LINEUP AND POSSIBLE CHANGES

Estudiantes ' likely lineup for the clash includes: Muslera; Gómez, Nuñez, Rodríguez, Arzamendia; Ascacibar, Piovi, Amondarain, Medina, Tiago Palacios; Carrillo.

It's not yet clear whether Piovi will play as an extra midfielder or be replaced by Castro . Amondarain, despite being an attacking midfielder, could drop back and act as a third midfielder, depending on Domínguez's strategy in recent training sessions.

FLAMENGO WILL HAVE A CHALLENGE

With the prospect of a more closed Argentine team, Flamengo, under the command of Filipe Luís, will have to work hard to break down Estudiantes' defense and seek a positive result in the first leg of the Libertadores quarterfinals.
