Actor Arthur Aguiar shared with his followers that he has a stye and his wife, influencer Jheny Santucci, suggested that he use breast milk from breastfeeding his son Gabriel to get rid of the inflammation faster.
However, this method is a myth and is not recommended by experts. In an interview with IstoÉ Gente, Juliana Zarate, ophthalmologist at Kora Saúde, explained that there is no scientific evidence to prove the effectiveness of breast milk in treating stye.
“We, experts, recommend the use of treatments more proven methods, such as warm compresses and, if necessary, topical medications or antibiotics prescribed by a doctor”, said the ophthalmologist.
UNDERSTANDING THE STYLE
A stye, also known as hordeolum, is an inflammation that occurs around the eyes when some glands present in the eyelids, such as Zeiss and Mol, become clogged or infected by bacteria. It manifests as a small, red, painful bump on the edge of the eyelid, often accompanied by swelling and tenderness.

Singer Preta Gil showed more details about what her new cancer treatment will be like, home-based chemotherapy. She appeared on her social media this Tuesday (24) and showed that she is using a portable pump, which is a type of medication bag attached to her body.
The purpose of this equipment is that she can administer medications continuously without the need to go to a hospital. "I've been at home since yesterday, I came with the chemotherapy infusion pump. There are two models, there's this model that we opted for, which we think is better than the other", he explained.
Preta is fighting against the cancer for the second time. She had a recurrence in two lymph nodes in the pelvis, a metastasis in the peritoneum and a nodule in the ureter. The singer even had to amputate her rectum during the treatment.
The artist also said that she felt ill this Monday, but woke up better in the morning. "I'm fine, yesterday I was very sick, today I'm much better, I'm still here, firm and strong." This Monday, Preta visited the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Aparecida, in São Paulo.
