Emotion was the highlight, last Wednesday night (8/5), of another edition of the Yes to Racial Equality Award. The event celebrated, in Rio de Janeiro, black and indigenous people, companies and initiatives that stand out in the fight for racial equality in the country. The party took place at Cidade das Artes Bibi Ferreira, Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of the city.
Promoted by the Instituto Identidades do Brasil (ID_BR), the award's theme this year was “Ancestral intelligence and connections” . The ceremony was hosted by actors Ícaro Silva and Dandara Queiroz. The event brought together names such as Péricles, Amaury Lorenzo, Erika Hilton, Isabel Fillardis and Marcelo D2, as well as the directors of the Institute, Luana Génot and Tom Mendes.
Among the guests, presenter Xuxa Meneghel, the eternal queen of Baixinhos, who chatted exclusively with journalist and columnist Newma Santiago, from the EGOBrazil portal, and amid the event full of music and emotion, the blonde, who was accompanied by her boyfriend Junno Andrade, addressed important issues about racial equality and prejudice .
When asked how she believes she can contribute to promoting racial equality and combating prejudice in Brazilian society, Xuxa Meneghel responded with determination: “I believe I can contribute by bringing information and love. I was accused of racism, but it was because I ended up repeating things that everyone else was doing at the time. Therefore, I believe that loving people is the best way to improve society”, declared the presenter.
With this statement, Xuxa Meneghel highlights the importance of awareness and love for others as essential tools in the fight against any type of prejudice.

Former Flamengo goalkeeper Julio Cesar declared himself to his family last Sunday night (19), after resuming his marriage with actress and businesswoman Susana Werner. The former player shared a photo of his wife with their two children, Cauet and Giulia and her father Avelino Werner.
"Family," wrote Julio Cesar when sharing the click from the meeting, in which he does not appear. Julio and Susana, who have been married since 2002, announced their separation in November, but recently, their reconciliation was revealed.

Singer MC Daniel seems to be getting to know businesswoman Lorena Maria better. The funk singer published on his Instagram, this Sunday (19), a video in which he appears alongside her for the first time.
The couple was in a van side by side returning from the singer's show in Hortolândia, in interior of São Paulo, last Saturday (18). At the time, they were listening to the song Coração de Mãe/ Só por Hoje, by Gaab and MC Hariel in the vehicle.
