Flamengo players are still getting used to Filipe Luís on the sidelines . This is because the idol was supposed to be on the field with them until the end of 2023, and so his presence as coach still causes some surprise. But for Léo Pereira, for example, this is a good thing.

"I'm happy with the path he's taking as a coach. Being able to help makes me even happier. I hope to be able to follow this path with him for a long time and win titles," he says.

Everyone already knew that Filipe Luís would become a coach, after all, that was his big dream. Léo Pereira remembers Filipe's time as a player, remembering that his actions were almost those of a coach, and not an athlete.
"Filipe, since I arrived at Flamengo, gave signs that he would become a coach. He was very critical on the field . Very analytical too. He wasn't the kind of player who looked at himself, but rather at the group as a whole. He tried to bring positive things, what we could do" , he recalls.
Léo Pereira remembers, for example, situations in which Filipe Luís gave advice to his teammates before games.
"Depending on the pitch we were going to play on, he would give touches. For example, I played at Athletico, at the Arena, the ball moves faster. There, he would say: 'Here you have to pass the ball to your feet. Up front, it runs and you can't reach it anymore'. These are details that go unnoticed. He paid attention to that" , he comments.
Even as a player, Filipe Luís already analyzed his opponents and watched the moves on personal devices to find out how Flamengo could overcome their rivals.
"He analyzed several plays that the opposing attack could make before the games with an iPad, to minimize these attacks . He certainly always studied and was very attentive, for himself and for the whole group" , he comments.

Even though he has recovered from his knee injury, Lucas Moura will not face Mais Querido this Saturday (13th round of the Brasileirão) as he is still following a physical schedule.

São Paulo will have an important absence in the match against Flamengo this Saturday (13), at Maracanã, at 4:30 pm.
