At an event, Mayor Eduardo Paes and the CEO of Americas Trading Group (ATG), Claudio Pracownik, were responsible for confirming the news, which is expected to begin operations in the second half of next year. Furthermore, Pracownik has a stint at Flamengo, as vice-president of finance.

"The new exchange will have its administrative headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. This is very important for the city and the state. Rio will once again be a large business center, attracting investors, and this has enormous relevance. We hope that this will be the initial milestone in the rebirth of the financial market in Rio", said Pracownik, on the Rio de Janeiro City Hall website.

Claudio Pracownik was vice-president of finance at Flamengo between May 2015 and August 2018, under Eduardo Bandeira de Mello. The new CEO of the Rio de Janeiro stock exchange participated in the financial restructuring of Mais Querido.
