FERNANDA GENTIL REVEALS TO DIEGO RIBAS, FORMER FLAMENGO, WHAT IT WAS LIKE TO REVEAL SEXUALITY TO HIS FATHER

At 37 years old, Fernanda Gentil recalled a remarkable episode in her life: the moment when her father, Maurício Gentil, became aware of her same-sex relationship. The presenter, known for her frankness, shared details of this experience during an interview on the podcast “10 & Faixa”, by Diego Ribas, released on YouTube this Thursday, 6th.

During the conversation, Fernanda revealed how his father reacted when he found out about his relationship with journalist Priscila Montandon in 2016. Despite having grown up in a welcoming and open environment, his father's reaction surprised the presenter.

“When I started dating Priscila, my father, who was always very understanding, had an unexpected reaction. He was visibly upset. It was the person who reacted worst at the time”, shared Fernanda.

Overcoming Obstacles

Despite the initial impact, Fernanda highlighted that, over time, her father was able to deal better with the situation. She explained how the family faced this delicate moment and how her father found support in other father figures.

“My brother talked to him, and little by little, he began to understand and accept. He resolved this internal conflict on his own. Afterwards, he even participated in a TV program to discuss the topic. We received many compliments and messages of support, which showed the importance of this dialogue”, reported Fernanda.
