Despite its outstanding performance in the first phase of the new Club World Cup format, Flamengo fell behind European clubs in the FIFA quota division . Despite the lower visibility in the figures, Flamengo's numbers show efficiency and consistency. Rubro-Negro ended the group stage with a better campaign in points than PSG, Bayern and Chelsea, which shows a competitive performance on the field, even in the face of the structural and economic difference.
Next Sunday (29), Flamengo will face Bayern Munich in Miami in the round of 16. The match has sporting and financial importance. Whoever advances will be guaranteed an extra US$ 13.12 million (R$ 72 million) in prize money.
