Former Flamengo defender, Pablo Marí, is once again mentioned in Brazilian football. Currently, the Spaniard defends the colors of Monza, in Italy, having played 28 games in the current season.

Marí had a spell at Flamengo in 2019, participating in just 30 games, but leaving his mark on history of Rubro-Negro. Now, there is speculation about a possible return to Brazilian football, with teams like Grêmio and Botafogo interested in the player.

However, Marí's return would not be simple, as the player has a contract with Monza until mid 2026. Despite the interest of some Serie A teams, negotiations could be made difficult by the defender's good performance at the Italian club, where he has been an absolute starter, accumulating 2080 minutes on the field.

FLAMENGO DREAMS OF ANOTHER DEFENDER OF EUROPE

Flamengo is already studying the market to give Tite an even better squad. The club defined the main target to reinforce the right-back, a position considered a priority for improvements in the team.

Currently, the most quoted name is Danilo, from Juventus-ITA, and the club plans a hiring attempt during the mid-year window. It is worth remembering that Danilo currently also plays as a defender for the Italian club.
