Nation 12 campaigned and took 40 volunteers to help victims in the state
|
Rio Grande do Sul faces a major calamity, after heavy rains hit the state and caused the biggest flood in the history of RS. In the midst of this, the organized fans of Flamengo "Nação 12", sent a bus with 40 volunteers, as well as donations, to the location.
In an interview with the reporter from the Coluna do Fla portal, Rafael Oliveira, president of "Nação 12", reported that the fans sent a bus with 40 volunteers, including nurses, first responders and civil firefighters. Furthermore, several donations were sent to Rio Grande do Sul this past Tuesday (14).
CAMPAIGN IDEAThe mobilization began when one of the members, Silvana, who is a nurse, demonstrated her desire to help flood victims in some way. It was then that the vice-president of "Nação 12", Márcio Vieira, came up with the idea of taking volunteers.
With the desire to help, the fans contacted a bus company and managed to transport at cost price. This is because, in addition to solidarity, the driver has relatives in Rio Grande do Sul and, coincidentally, left the place for Rio de Janeiro.
After arranging transport and volunteers, the fans created a campaign through on social media to raise money to cover the costs of the trip. Thus, Nation 12 reached the goal and, with what was left, purchased items to donate. FlaManguaça also collected donations and sent them to the bus.

The goal scored by Gabi Nunes was the attacker's fifth for the Brazilian team. Shortly before the score was opened, Rainha Marta found the net, but the goal was canceled by the referee due to an offside. Overall, Arthur Elias' Brazil maintained an offensive posture and control of the game after taking the lead. Nigeria offered little danger to the goal defended by Lorena.
SummaryWhen the ball rolled, nervousness was the team's main factor in the first minutes. Using missed passes and intercepted direct calls, Brazil was initially unable to trouble the Nigerian team. Without control of the match, the Canarian team suffered from quick departures from their opponents. After the initial tension, it was Brazil's turn to take control of the game. At 35 minutes, Antonia found Marta, who converted, but saw her goal disallowed due to the assistant's offside. But soon after, it was the Queen's turn to find a perfect pass for Gabi Nunes, who finished strongly and filled the net to put the Brazilian team ahead.
What now?In the second stage, the team led by Arthur Elias kept the situation under control. Counting on Lorena's safe defenses, the team that won the silver medal in 2004 and 2008 confirmed its success.
With the triumph, Brazil takes second place in Group C, tied on points with Spain. In the next round, the team will face Japan, while Nigeria will face Spain.
