Lorran's talent has never been in doubt. The problem, according to people close to Flamengo's day-to-day activities, has always revolved around the right time to put him on the field, his attitude off the field and the way he deals with the ups and downs of his early career. At the beginning of 2025, Flamengo even negotiated the player's transfer to CSKA, in Russia.
The deal was not completed, and the midfielder was returned to the U-20 team. Since then, he has been treated more calmly, considering both his technical and emotional side. Now under the command of Filipe Luís, the U-20 coaching staff has been adopting a balanced approach with Lorran. The coach has even publicly praised the midfielder, but made it clear that talent needs to be accompanied by commitment.
In the most recent training session, published by the “Flazoeiro” profile, Lorran demonstrated that he is still sharp. In a reduced-field activity, with a smaller goal and a focus on one-on-one situations, the youngster excelled. In two different plays, he easily left the marker behind and finished with style. The images went viral among fans and once again fueled discussions about the possibility of his reintegration into the main squad.
But behind the scenes, the idea is still to refine the game. There is no rush, nor public demand from the board or Filipe Luís's coaching staff. Lorran only entered the field for the professional team in 2024 in the second leg of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil, against Botafogo-PB, at the end of May. On that occasion, he came on 15 minutes into the second half and participated in the 4-2 victory at Maracanã. It was his first match with the main team since November of last year, when he played against Atlético-MG.
At 18 years old, Lorran is one of the most promising names in the recent generation of the red-black youth team . He had already stood out in previous categories, but the jump to the professional level required more than just technique. With the new training process, Flamengo hopes that he will mature completely before facing the intense routine of the first team again.
A standout among Mengão's under-20 players, the Nigerian may be living his last days with the Sacred Mantle and heading to Serie B.

With the opening of the transfer window this Thursday (10), Flamengo is moving both in the main squad and in the base. One of the names that entered the market radar was the Nigerian striker Shola, a highlight of the red-black under-20. Volta Redonda, second-to-last in Series B, sent a loan proposal for the player, but Mais Querido refused .
Despite recognizing that experience on a professional team could be valuable, the board opted to keep the striker. The main reason is the U-20 Club World Cup , in which Flamengo will face Barcelona (ESP) on August 23rd at the Maracanã. Information about Volta Redonda's interest was reported by 'BTS Sports'.
With a distinguished record in the youth ranks—including a World Cup title and two U-20 Libertadores titles—Shola has five appearances for Flamengo 's senior team. Four of these were in 2025, during the Campeonato Carioca , when the team used an alternative formation. His debut came in the 2024 Brasileirão, against Atlético-MG.
If loaned out, Shola would arrive at Volta Redonda with the mission of helping the team escape the relegation zone in Série B. The team has just 14 points in 15 rounds — three wins, five draws, and seven losses — and sits in 19th place, ahead only of Amazonas on goal difference.
With the loan ruled out, at least for now, Shola remains available for the under-20 team. He is expected to start this Thursday (10), at 6 pm (Brasília time), against Botafogo, in the Luso-Brasileiro, in a game valid for the penultimate round of the Brasileirão in the category . The match also marks the debut of coach Bruno Pivetti. Flamengo will have reinforcements from the professional squad: Matheus Gonçalves, Lorran, João Victor, Léo Nannetti and Joshua.
The Ninho player was one of the highlights of Canarinho in the first phase of the Copa 2 de Julho, played in Bahia, and scored a goal this past Saturday (5)

Called up after standing out in Flamengo's youth teams , young Davi Fraga was one of Brazil's top scorers in the group stage of the Copa 2 de Julho, where Canarinho ended its participation this Saturday (5). In a rout over Dom Macedo-BA, the Ninho player scored.
This was the fifth goal scored by Davi Fraga, a Flamengo product, in four matches in the tournament. Before scoring against Dom Macedo, the youngster scored three against Jacobina-BA and another against Seleção Scout-BOL.
Brazil qualified for the next phase of the Copa 2 de Julho after thrashing Dom Macedo . The Canarinho opened the scoring by Henrique Lemos (Cruzeiro), son of right back Fágner. Also in the first half, Alexsander (Grêmio) increased the score.
However, Brazil only increased the pace in the second half. Right at the beginning of the second half, Davi Fraga shone, in addition to Jean Carlos (Fluminense) and Myguel (Red Bull Bragantino) who also scored their goals. In addition, Dom Macedo scored an own goal.
Brazil had a good campaign in the first phase of the tournament, with 12 points won in four games and the leadership of the group secured. Thus, Canarinho will return to the field only on Tuesday (8), for the round of 16 of the Copa 2 de Julho. The opponent will still be announced by the competition's organizers.

Being a champion is good. At the opponent's home ground, after seven years, it's even better! Flamengo beat Fluminense 3-2 on penalties and became the Rio de Janeiro champion in the under-15 category , at the Marcelo Vieira Stadium, in Xerém. After winning 3-2 at Gávea, Rubro-Negro was defeated 2-1 by Tricolor, this Sunday (6), resulting in a tie on aggregate. José Eduardo scored the decisive penalty and started the party.
Needing to win, Fluminense started the match trying to occupy the attacking field and had a chance with a free kick early on. The ball went to the right of goalkeeper Alessandro. The opponent had more volume, but most of the plays were balls thrown into the area. A free kick from the left hit the crossbar in the 19th minute.
Shortly after, at 22 minutes, Tricolor ended up scoring the first goal, precisely from a rebound after a cross from the left, taken advantage of by Crystian Gabriel. The red-and-black team, which had difficulty imposing its game, improved after conceding the goal and started to create a few more chances. It was Fluminense, however, that came very close to extending the lead shortly before the end of the first half. The defense was unable to clear the ball and Alessandro saved a point-blank shot from the opposing striker.
Early in the second half, Fla made a good play with Leonardo Gabriel, who came down the right, crossed and the defense cleared. On the counterattack, penalty for Fluminense, who scored the second in the 2nd minute, with Ryan Santos. Guilherme missed a great opportunity to reduce the deficit with a header, right after.
The opponent continued to play better and could have increased the lead in the 6th minute. Two minutes later, Rubro-Negro finally scored the first goal. Samuel Julio headed the ball accurately after a corner kick by Thomas Robson. Fluminense had another dangerous attack in the 17th minute, while Fla's response came in the 19th minute, with a shot over the top by José Eduardo.
Most of the plays were concentrated in the midfield . The red-blacks were unable to complete their attacks and Fluminense even managed to score twice, but goalkeeper Alessandro made the save with ease. As Fla had won the first game 3-2, the 2-1 defeat took the title decision to penalties.
In the penalty shootout, Lucas Guedes, Leonardo Gabriel and Zé Eduardo scored the goals for Mengão. Goalkeeper Alessandro saved Lucas Santos' shot and the victory went to the Garotos do Ninho. They are champions!!!
