The Maracanã administration has expressed its willingness to make improvements to the stadium's lawn. With a busy schedule of games in the first half of the year, the field is currently in a complex situation that has received a lot of criticism. Since Flamengo and Fluminense are now going into a more “quiet” phase, they believe it is possible to “reform” the synthetic grass.
The Maracanã lawn could be improved. This information was advanced by 'Coluna do Fla' after an interview with the stadium administration. According to those responsible, the plan is to renovate the synthetic lawn, as it will not be used as much in the coming months. The schedule of games for both teams that use the space, Flamengo and Fluminense, will decrease in the second half of the year.
Flu has already been eliminated from the Copa do Brasil and will not need to alternate games with Fla in this next phase. And in the Libertadores, both teams may meet in the quarterfinals, which will eliminate one of the two and, consequently, will reduce the number of games in the 'Maraca'.
This factor of the number of games , can be used as an excuse to justify the situation the pitch is in at the moment. In the first half of the year, the Carioca Championship, the Recopa Sul-Americana, the Copa do Brasil, the Brasileirão and the Libertadores marked their presence in the clubs' agendas. In addition, Vasco also obtained, in court, the right to send some matches at the stadium.
In the last month, the Maracanã lawn has received several criticisms. Flamengo's board of directors - namely Marcos Braz, deputy director of Football at the club - had already made statements about it and even revealed the club's intentions to invest in its own stadium so as not to have the problems it once had.

Flamengo has once again been approached by European clubs interested in one of its most talked-about prospects: midfielder Lorran. According to journalist Venê Casagrande, Pisa, recently promoted to the Italian football elite, made a loan offer for the player, but the terms of the negotiation did not please the red-black board, which chose to reject the proposal.
With the decision, the club kept Lorran in the under-20 squad , where he competes in the Brazilian Championship in the category. Despite being away from the main squad, the youngster continues to stand out with good performances and technical moves in training, which continues to arouse the interest of teams outside the country.

Flamengo has taken an important step towards finalizing the permanent transfer of midfielder Victor Hugo, 21 , to Famalicão, in Portugal. The Portuguese club has presented a purchase proposal that was considered satisfactory by the red-black board, which has already authorized the player's representatives to define the contract terms with the Europeans.
The expectation is that the contract with Famalicão will be valid for three seasons . The values involved in the negotiation were not revealed. The information was released by journalist Venê Casagrande.
NO SPACE IN THE CAST
Victor Hugo recently returned to the club after a loan spell at Goztepe in Turkey. The contract with the Turkish club included a buyout clause set at 8 million euros (approximately R$51 million) , but the European team chose not to exercise the option. Without a place in the squad led by Filipe Luís, the player is not part of the plans for the rest of the season.
Initially, Famalicão discussed the possibility of a new loan , but the talks evolved into a permanent transfer, considered the most advantageous solution by Flamengo 's football department.

During his time at Goztepe, Victor Hugo made 35 appearances, starting 12 of them, and scored three goals. He was involved in the team's eighth-place finish in the national league and also in the team's run to the semi-finals of the Turkish Cup, ending his spell with a stoppage-time goal against Kasimpasa on May 30.

At the end of July, Flamengo turns its attention to the Copa do Brasil. The Mais Querido will host Atlético-MG on the 27th, at Maracanã, for the first leg of the round of 16. Finally, on the 31st, the Rubro-Negro will visit the Minas Gerais team for the return leg.
