Flamengo is in Orlando, in the United States, for training and friendlies. Along with his NBA team, the Philadelphia 76ers, the basketball athlete is staying in the same hotel as the entire Mengão delegation. He will play later today (19), against the Orlando Magic, at 9 pm (Brasília time).
The Rubro-Negro players took advantage of the coincidence to team up with Joel Embiid, one of the biggest names in the American basketball league today and MVP of the last regular season. Léo Pereira and Matheus Gonçalves are among those who took – and posted – photos with the pivot on their social networks.
In the image posted with Embiid, Léo wrote: "It was a pleasure meeting you, brother." Matheus Gonçalves, in turn, called the pivot a phenomenon. The young striker even took a photo with Kelly Oubre Jr., another athlete from the Philadelphia 76ers.
Embiid, on previous occasions, declared himself a Flamengo fan. The Cameroonian, who will defend the United States at the Paris Olympics, is dating Brazilian Anne de Paula and says he started following Rubro-Negro because of his father-in-law.
After meeting with 76ers athletes, the Flamengo players will have to stay in the NBA climate. For next Monday's day off (22nd), the Red and Black squad is scheduled to go to the game between Magic and Cleveland Cavaliers. Sheherazade's statement came shortly after an episode in which she would have mocked her former broadcaster, SBT, where she worked for several years. The gaffe happened precisely on the day of Matheus Ceará's debut in the Sunday magazine, a fact that also generated comments among the public.

Domingo Legal, once again, surpassed Domingo Record with a significant difference. According to the numbers released, Celso Portiolli's program reached the mark of 6 audience points, while Sheherazade's program had an average of around 3.4 points.

The singer, who took to the stage with Planet Hemp last Sunday ( 15/9) and will return to the festival on Saturday (21/9) with a rap project, stated that the excessive appreciation of luxury and success in music of the genre can be a "trap" for young artists.
< Marcelo D2 was emphatic in his opinion about the recurring theme in trap: "I think it's all shit. This movement nowadays among younger kids, I think there's something that bothers me a little in this new generation, which is ostentation , I think it's a f*cked up trap." The musician warned that the reality of most favelas is still far from what is portrayed in the lyrics, emphasizing that "the favela has not won, it is still starving, without basic sanitation, without health."The first day of Rock in Rio this year was dominated by trap, with performances by Brazilian artists such as Orochi, Oruam and Chefin, as well as American rapper Travis Scott. Trap has been gaining more and more space on streaming platforms, often highlighting themes related to luxury and success. However, for Marcelo D2, as long as favelas continue to face challenges such as lack of infrastructure and essential services, the victory speech will be superficial.
D2 also mentioned rapper Emicida as an example of a more collective and less individualistic vision. Rubro-Negro continues its preparation for the 2024 season, with the presence of the main team and coach Tite in the States United, while the substitute players and some base talents compete in the Campeonato Carioca.
Last Sunday (21), Flamengo faced the Philadelphia Union, also in the FC Series, and emerged victorious with a score of 2 to 0. The goals were scored by Pedro and Cebolinha.
