Paulo André chose to step away from training and competition to dedicate himself to caring for his son, who is facing the need for surgery. The former Big Brother Brasil participant shared additional information about the situation on his social networks and also took the moment to vent, addressing the numerous negative messages he received throughout the week.
"I posted that I was going through a difficult situation . I don't like doing that. Even those of us whose lives are exposed deserve space, privacy, but I have received messages that are offensive", he began.
As reported by Paulo André, the situation began when her son faced a health issue that required surgery shortly after birth. Now, at two years old, the child faces the need to undergo another similar procedure. Faced with this situation, Paulo made the decision to take a break from training in preparation for the Pan-American Relay race.
“(The problem) is not with me. It's up to my son, a matter of his health. I do not like to talk about it. This creates a trigger for what happened to him at birth. It's not a risky situation, I want to keep everyone calm. But it's normal for me as a father, especially given everything he's been through, to be super worried. Unfortunately he will undergo another surgery. Everything is within control. But I'm not fine. Those who are parents and those who are older know that we get worried, unable to do things. I'm improving because the situation is coming back under control", he said.
Then, PA said he received a flood of negative comments when he posted a smiling photo enjoying Flamengo's game against Vasco, in weekend.
"They said I couldn't support Flamengo, that I couldn't smile in a photo. These messages have been bothering me. I received messages that I couldn't be like this because I was going through a delicate situation", he concluded.
