Preta Gil and Simony shared an emotional moment during the renewal of vows between singer Péricles and his wife, Lidiane Faria, on the night of Tuesday, 30th, in São Paulo. The two, who underwent cancer treatments almost at the same time, posed for photos together and were flooded with messages of support and affection.
Preta Gil's post on social media expressed the affection between the artists . "Preta Gil, I love you and that's it. Thank you God for us", wrote Simony, being promptly reciprocated by Preta: "I love you", completed Gilberto Gil's daughter.
Simony was diagnosed with breast cancer intestine in June 2022 and is in remission, but still needs to undergo immunotherapy every 20 days to prevent the disease from returning. Preta Gil, in turn, was diagnosed with a malignant tumor in the same organ in January 2023. She underwent chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgeries, and announced that she was in remission in December 2023.
The singers' photo quickly received a flood of praise from Simony's followers, who celebrated the meeting and the strength of both. When Preta Gil revealed her diagnosis, Simony shared in an interview with Globo's “Fantástico” that she made herself available to her friend. “I just told her: ‘If you want to cry, ask questions or anything, I’ll make myself available’. I got this from a lot of people. At this stage, we really need love”, commented Simony at the time.

The Bahian singer O Kanalha participated in the shows of the second week of Rock in Rio this last Thursday (19). He gave an interview to the LeoDias portal, and spoke about his relationship with the singer Preta Gil.
The singer's presence included a special performance at the Coca-Cola space with the Bahian pagodão: “Unique experience, I'm very happy and now I was even more so because everything went well and people went there to enjoy O Kanalha… They sang, danced and we really put the energy of Bahia there”, he began saying.
