In their first pre-season game, Real Madrid emerged victorious against Milan in an exciting match played at the Rose Bowl, in California (USA), on the Soccer Champions Tour. The final score was 3-2 to Real Madrid. Federico Valverde was the highlight when he scored two goals, while Vinicius Jr. also left its mark. On the Milan side, the goals were scored by Fikayo Tomori and Luka Romero.
At the start of the match, Real Madrid opted for a reserve team, giving Jude Bellingham the chance to debut, an important signing for the season. However, the Italians wasted no time and opened up a 2-0 lead.
Vinicius Júnior, who had entered the break, was looking for his goal all the time and almost scored one from the plate. The Brazilian received it on the left end, hit it with a trivela and the ball skimmed the bar.

Mengão and Bayern goalkeepers have a moment of relaxation behind the scenes after the match and the German's attitude cheered up the red-black fans

The performance of Agustín Rossi and Manuel Neuer, goalkeepers for Flamengo and Bayern Munich (GER), respectively, generated great expectation before the round of 16 of the Club World Cup. In the duel on the field, the Bavarian team's goalkeeper came out on top . However, off the field, a scene between the two caught everyone's attention .
After Bayern Munich's victory, which resulted in Flamengo's elimination, Neuer and Rossi were seen sharing a relaxed moment in the corridors of the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Broadcast cameras caught the two posing for a photo.
Furthermore, Neuer started a light conversation, gesturing with his leg — apparently alluding to Rossi's quality with the ball at his feet . The recording went viral on social media, with many fans interpreting the interaction as a sign of respect and appreciation from Europeans for the South American talent.
Despite finishing the group stage undefeated and in the lead, Flamengo came up against the powerful Bayern Munich in the round of 16. The red-and-black team put in a courageous performance, but was unable to overcome the German team, which won 4-2 and advanced to the quarterfinals. Even though it was eliminated, Mengão left a good impression, especially due to its collective performance and bold stance in the face of one of the most expensive squads in world football.
After the elimination, Flamengo begins its return to Brazil. The delegation leaves the United States on Monday night (30) and should land in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday morning (01). The Rubro-Negro's next commitment will only be in the second week of July, in a duel against São Paulo, for the Brazilian Championship.
Mengão coach does not hide the power seen by high-standard European teams and only finds an unlikely solution to reduce the gap

Coach Filipe Luís did not seek easy excuses for Flamengo's elimination from the Club World Cup. After the 4-2 defeat to Bayern Munich at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, the red-and-black commander made a harsh and surgical diagnosis of the chasm that currently separates Brazilian and European football.
In his analysis, Filipe acknowledged that, although Flamengo's tactical plan had an effect at various moments in the match, Bayern 's superior technical quality was decisive. "Yes, we saw one thing on the field. I believe that our plan worked, that we were able to put pressure on Bayern well, we were able to take the ball away from them, we were able to create scoring chances. Unfortunately, they are better. And they are the best in this elite of football ", assessed Filipe Luís.
Filipe Luís on solution for distance to Europe: "Don't sell players"
Based on this observation, the coach pointed to a structural imbalance, which, in his view, prevents a more balanced competition. "The level between Brazilian, South American and European football is so enormous that it is insurmountable ," he declared.
When asked what could be done to reduce this gap, Filipe was direct: the way forward would be to keep the top talents in Brazilian football — something he himself considers unfeasible. "What can we do to prevent this from happening? Don't sell players. Impossible," he said, resigned.
To illustrate the impact of players leaving early, the coach mentioned Vinicius Júnior , who was trained at Ninho do Urubu and is now a world star. "If Vinicius Júnior hadn't left, today we would have the best player in the world playing with us . And why do they leave? Because they want to play in the elite of football. And it's very simple. They are the best," he highlighted.
Despite his openness about the disparity, Filipe Luís did not rule out the possibility of one-off victories — like the one Flamengo achieved against Chelsea, still in the group stage. " That we could have won the game, that we could even win the championship , of course, anything can happen in football. But that will not take away from the reality that exists, that these teams are very good. There is no problem in acknowledging it," he concluded.
Mengão will now return to Brazil this Monday (30) and focus on the return of the Brazilian football season. Flamengo has qualified for the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil and the Libertadores , where it will face Atlético-MG and Internacional, respectively. The first commitment, however, is for the Brasileirão, when it receives São Paulo at Maracanã. The CBF has not yet defined the dates due to the Club World Cup.
The player recently completed 100 games with the Manto Sagrado and has already expressed his desire to remain at the club for a few more seasons.

Guilhermo Varela has been a standout for Flamengo this season and has already played 100 games with the Manto Sagrado. The full-back has a contract with the club until the end of the year and wants to stay with the team. Therefore, the Mais Querido is moving quickly to renew his contract. José Boto gave an update on the situation.
José Boto updates Varela's situation: "It's well underway. When we get to Rio, we'll deal with it."
He continued: " We didn't want to go any further because we're in a competition that I think is unique to all of us . Obviously, things don't stop because there's a competition like that, but we sat down and we have things well underway."
It is worth remembering that Varela 's agent was in the United States to meet with José Boto and discuss the full-back's contract renewal. Thus, the parties appear to have reached an agreement and the player will soon be able to sign a new contract with the club.
Last week, Varela reached an important milestone with the Manto Sagrado. The full-back reached 100 games for Flamengo, becoming the 15th foreigner to reach such a number in the history of Mais Querido.
After being eliminated from the Club World Cup, Flamengo will only return to the field on the week of July 13, when they will face São Paulo in the Brasileirão. In the meantime, the red-and-black squad will enjoy a few days of vacation before returning to activities.
