Giorgian De Arrascaeta, one of the main names in Brazilian football and a key player in the CRF squad, could leave the club in the next transfer window. According to information released by the Fichajes portal, the 30-year-old Uruguayan midfielder would have caught the attention of Napoli, from Italy. The team, now led by Antonio Conte, would be interested in signing the player due to his impressive goals and assists numbers.
ELIMINATION AT LIBERTADORES AND FUTURE AT MENGÃO

Despite being one of the highlights of Rubro-Negro, De Arrascaeta was unable to avoid the team's elimination in the Libertadores, after the draw against Peñarol, in Uruguay, last Wednesday (26).

With the result, Flamengo ended its participation in the continental tournament and now needs to focus on the remaining competitions of the season: the Brasileirão and the Copa do Brasil.

INTEREST FROM NAPOLI AND OTHER CLUBS

The disembarkation of Flamengo, which took place during the early hours of the morning, was marked by tension. Despite the late hour, fans showed up to show their dissatisfaction, throwing popcorn on the buses transporting the players . The goalless draw against Peñarol, in Uruguay, sealed Rubro-Negro's elimination from the Libertadores, worsened by the 1-0 defeat in the first game. This result increased the fans' frustration.

When leaving for Uruguay, the fans performed an AeroFla, with the aim of supporting the team in its quest to qualify for the Libertadores semi-final, where it would face Botafogo.< /p>

However, the elimination for Peñarol turned support into impatience and criticism. Unlike the festive embarkation, the return to Rio was marked by protests, with popcorn being thrown at the two buses, which were unmarked. During the hostile reception, fans chanted slogans and made gestures of discontent towards the players.

In addition to the athletes, coach Tite, president Rodolfo Landim and vice-president of football, Marcos Braz , were also targets of the protests. Chants with insults against these figures echoed as a form of demonstration for the elimination against Peñarol, in Montevideo.

Conflict between fans and the Military Police The Military Police of Rio de Janeiro were called to guarantee security during the disembarkation of the Flamengo. However, with the insistence on protests, the situation became more tense, resulting in a confrontation. Videos show the moment when police officers try to disperse the red and black fans, using stun bombs and rubber bullets. Protesters are seen running to avoid the conflict.

After the tragic elimination of Flamengo in the Libertadores, against Peñarol, the journalist Renato Maurício Prado, wrote in his 'Uol' column, questions, for him, without answers, regarding the work of Tite and the Flamengo board in the current season.

Following in full:

1. How can a team that needs to win not shoot on goal? In two entire matches, against Peñarol (which spends less than 15% of Flamengo's salary on its football), there were only two shots towards the rival's goal.

2. How can a coach leave the club's most expensive signing, Carlos Alcaraz, on the bench, preferring to exchange Fabrício Bruno for David Luiz, as if that would make any difference?

3. How can a coach who calls himself a "chameleon", for "knowing how to play in different ways", attribute the resounding failure of his work to the injury of a center forward, Pedro, around whom the team's entire scheme was created?

4. How this scheme never worked, even with Pedro on the field, during most of the poor Libertadores campaign, with defeats to Bolívar. Palestinian and what not?

5. How could the work of a year, considered by many to be the best Brazilian coach in activity, been unable to produce even a draft team with the supposedly best squad in Brazil?

6. How did Carioquinha's impregnable defense become a sieve, Swiss cheese, even though it has admittedly good quality players?

7. How did De La Cruz and Arrascaeta start to play so badly? What's wrong with preparing both?

8. How do Rodolfo Landim and Marcos Braz still think they will win their respective elections with another year of collecting failures, like in 2023?

9. How can Flamengo believe that they will win the Copa do Brasil by continuing such poor work?

10. How has Tite not been fired yet?

After the elimination of Flamengoin the Libertadores, the stance of some players generated great dissatisfaction among fans. Specifically, Giorgian De Arrascaeta's attitude was criticized by part of the fans. The midfielder, who is considered one of the main leaders of the red and black squad, chose to ignore the Brazilian press and spoke only to Uruguayan media outlets. The choice generated negative reactions, with fans questioning the lack of respect and explanations to the Brazilian public, who expected a direct response from the athletes after yet another performance below expectations.

On leaving the stadium, in addition to Arrascaeta, other players from the Flamengo also avoided the interview area and quickly passed through the area designated for the press, without speaking. With the silence, the only red and black voice available to comment on the result was coach Sampaoli, who, despite his statements, was unable to alleviate the frustration of the fans, who asked for more responsibility and transparency from the athletes.

A BOLD CHOICE FOR TITE'S FLAMENGO

In an elimination scenario that, for many, was considered an embarrassment, the lack of explanations and the players' apparent lack of interest in talking to the fans further increased the pressure on the cast and management. On social media, many fans expressed their indignation. One of them commented: "What a regrettable attitude!", referring not only to the elimination on the field, but also to the lack of commitment from the players off it. The opinion reflected the feeling of a large part of the fans, who wanted clear answers about what happened and what will be done to correct the mistakes.

The choice of Arrascaetato grant interviews exclusively to Uruguayan press generated a heated debate. For many, it was seen as an attitude of disrespect towards Brazilian fans, who expected a more transparent stance, especially from an athlete who carries leadership status within the group. The situation generated a wave of criticism and accusations of cowardice and omission. “The cowardice, lack of posture and respect towards the fans is unbelievable”, said another fan, reflecting the indignation that took over social media.
