The photo of a senator for Rio de Janeiro is part of the CBF IDB. Romário is regularized, has an active contract and, on paper, became president-player of America-RJ.

In an interview with the UOL portal, Baixinho explains the reason for trying this adventure at the age of 58: making a dream come true. "My son is going to play with America. One of my wishes, one of my dreams, is to play with him. Depending on a given game, if I play with him, it will complete my life in football", said Shorty.

There is no point in expecting Romário's constant participation in America's games for the Carioca Championship. "It's not the desire to compete in the championship, my body can't handle it. But it's to play with him (Romarinho)." But dare to ask if Romário thinks he has forgotten how to play football professionally. >'Pressure' on the coach

In an irreverent way, the president-player has already put pressure on coach Marcus Alexandre: "President has to be a starter, Wow! I'll even accept joining later, but if it's too late in the game, I'll fire him." What is the plan to be able to play? América's first game in Carioca's Series A2 will be on May 18, against Petrópolis.

"I'm going to start training a little next week, three times a week. I'm going to train on the field at home I must do some training there with the people at America too", said Romário, still active in footvolley and in football matches.

Senator, Romário will earn a symbolic salary, a requirement for the contract to be valid. But the amount will be returned to the club. In CBF records, the last game with Romário's participation was in November 2007, Vasco's 2-1 defeat to Internacional with Abel Braga, Fernandão and Nilmar, in the Brasileirão.

It is worth remembering that in 2009, Romário came to play for America, fulfilling the dream of his father, Edevair, now deceased. Now, he wants to complete the family cycle.

Flamengo lost to Bolívar in the Copa Libertadores, and the executioner was an athlete born in Pará de Minas, in the interior of Minas Gerais. Created by América and former teammate of Richarlison, Bruno Sávio found the net on Wednesday night (24) and declared the Bolivian team's victory 2-1, at the Hernando Siles Stadium, in La Paz.

< 29-year-old attacking midfielder, Bruno Sávio is in his second spell at Bolívar and is going through a great phase: he has four goals and four assists in the last five matches. Against the powerful Flamengo, in Bolivia, the Minas Gerais native was responsible for the winning goal in the 17th minute of the second half, with a shot crossed with his right leg.

Bruno Sávio became a promise for América's academy by scoring 9 goals in the BH Junior Football Cup title campaign in 2014. The following year, he became a professional, but did not perform as well : there were only four goals in 50 games, 22 as a starter.

During his career, Bruno defended Mirassol, Bragantino, Cuiabá, NK Istra 1961, from Croatia, Avaí, Al-Ahly, from Egypt, and Guarani, where he experienced one of his best moments as a professional. In two years at the Campinas club, between 2020 and 2021, he scored 15 goals and provided 11 assists in 78 games.

Almost a decade before standing out in the Libertadores, Bruno Sávio played for América with Richarlison. Flamengo's tormentor and the Tottenham and Brazilian team's striker were protagonists of a Series B game wearing the American shirt.

Against Mogi Mirim, on October 3, 2015, Coelho's youngsters scored a 2-1 victory. Away from home, Richarlison scored the first American goal and Bruno Sávio scored the second. The result on that occasion was very important for América, who returned to the G4 of Series B in the 29th round and never left. Coelho rose to the elite of the Brazilian Championship in fourth place, with 65 points.
