After a solid defensive performance and an incisive attack, Alex Sandro was one of the most talked about names on social media on Thursday night (15). Seeking its second consecutive title, Flamengo faces Barcelona (ESP) on August 23rd at 4:30 pm at the Maracanã Stadium in the U-20 Intercontinental Cup. Flamengo confirmed, this Friday (8), the list of athletes registered for the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores da América. Among the news are Jorginho, Saúl, Emerson Royal, Samuel Lino and Carrascal , reinforcements signed in the last two windows - including the one that preceded the Club World Cup and the current one.
To make room for new names, Flamengo removed Felipe Lima, Jorge Mora, Rayan Lucas, as well as Gerson and Wesley, who were recently traded. The Rubro-Negro's first challenge in this phase will be against Internacional , next Wednesday (14), at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã.
The return leg is scheduled for the 20th at Beira-Rio. If they qualify, the club may make further roster changes before the quarterfinals. It's worth noting that Mais Querido is still searching for another striker to replace Pedro.

On the other side, they will have an opponent motivated by a campaign above all expectations .
Flamengo has 37 points, the same number as Cruzeiro, but leads on goal difference (24 to 19) and still has a game in hand over the Minas Gerais team. A victory at Maracanã will guarantee the Rio de Janeiro club the top of the table at the end of the first round .
Mirassol, meanwhile, is the big revelation in this Série A.
