Flamengo has another confirmed loss for the next game of the season. Midfielder Allan suffered an injury to the muscle on the back of his right thigh in the clash with Vasco, last Sunday (02) and, without recovering in time, the athlete is out of Mengo's match against Grêmio, on Thursday (13 ), at Maracanã.
With the Brazilian football calendar at a standstill due to Data FIFA friendly matches, the expectation was that Allan would get rid of the pain there before the clash with Grêmio. However, without leaving the Medical Department during this period, the midfielder is confirmed absentee for the Brasileirão eighth round match. The information is from journalist Venê Casagrande.
In the ideal scenario, Erick Pulgar would be Allan's replacement in Flamengo's 'volancia'. However, the athlete is also out, as he is serving the Chilean national team. Thus, Igor Jesus appears as the favorite to take over the position. Another alternative is the use of Léo Ortiz in the role, as the defender already played in this position during his time at Red Bull Bragantino.
In addition to Allan, coach Tite has an extensive list of absences for the game against Grêmio. So far, the count is at six, but it could reach eight. Arrascaeta, De La Cruz, Viña, Varela and Pulgar are serving their respective countries and are away. Léo Pereira and Ayrton Lucas, who are dealing with injuries, are still doubts.
Flamengo and Grêmio face each other this Thursday (13th), at 8pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã, in the eighth round of Brasileirão.
