The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) issued a statement this Tuesday (15th) on the moves that generated controversy in the match between Flamengo and São Paulo, held last Sunday (13th), at Maracanã. The team from São Paulo complains about the move that generated the penalty in Luiz Araújo, claiming that the player was offside and not Michel Araújo's penalty.
In social networks, rival fans shared a possible blue line that would show the Mais Querido's irregularity. The trait was justified by the VAR manager, Péricles Bassols.
“What determines this blue line is that it goes up, it is not going towards the sideline. It does not determine the point at which the athlete is on the ground. The yellow lines represent the position of the players. The blue line is pointed towards the sky, the vertical reference of any athlete's points. As this point is a terrestrial point, which is the toe of the boot, this point will be the reference”, said Péricles Bassols, VAR technical manager.
“This vertical line, blue, in the encounter with the yellow ones , is the target. This position of that player in white on the ground. When you do graphical pre-confirmation, the line turns yellow. This blue line is not the line that is a reference for the athlete from above”, he added.
With everything clarified, Flamengo now focuses on the match against Grêmio this Wednesday (16), at 21:30, the return game will be for the semifinals of the Copa do Brasil, in Maracanã.
With record audience, the duel between Mengão and Bayern Munich for the Club World Cup confirmed the Rubro-Negro's appeal in national territory

Flamengo was defeated 4-2 by Bayern Munich last Sunday (29), but the result on the field was in the background for TV Globo. The broadcaster reached a peak of 38 audience points during the broadcast, a number that highlights the strength of Rubro-Negro on open television.
The mark represents a new record for Globo in broadcasting the Club World Cup in Rio de Janeiro. For comparison purposes, the competition's average is around 22 points, meaning Flamengo surpassed this average by 16 points.
Despite the setback for the Germans, the audience did not feel the impact. The match was the most anticipated involving Brazilians in this edition of the Club World Cup, and the high interest was confirmed in expressive numbers. Even on a Sunday with other appealing games, such as PSG vs. Inter Miami, which featured Lionel Messi facing his former team, Flamengo stood out.
The match between the French and the Americans scored 18 points, exactly 20 less than the clash between Rubro-Negro and Bayern. The last time TV Globo had recorded such high audience ratings was in November 2023, during the Libertadores final between Fluminense and Boca Juniors. At the time, the number also reached 38 points. Flamengo , therefore, equaled this peak even in a match without a title at stake.
This data reinforces the club's national reach and the engagement of fans in any competitive scenario. The Club World Cup does not have the same emotional appeal as a continental final, but that did not stop Flamengo fans from watching, even if it was on their screens. Flamengo's performance throughout the tournament had a direct impact on Globo's audience ratings . With each match, the numbers increased. Against Los Angeles FC, for example, the game before the match against Bayern, Globo had already reached 33 points by then, the highest rating in the last 19 months on Tuesday nights.
Real Betis from Spain have also expressed interest in the player, which could start a fierce dispute between the clubs for the American team's player.

Football is like that, one player leaves and another takes his place. In this sense, we are talking about Gerson's move to Zenit-RUS , a club that announced this Monday that it will pay the termination fee and take the Joker. But who will take the number 8's place? For that, Fla already has its target.
Flamengo is already making moves in the transfer market and is targeting Telasco Segovia, a young Venezuelan midfielder who has been standing out in the MLS with Inter Miami. At just 22 years old, Segovia has been a key player in the team led by Javier Mascherano, drawing attention for his quality in creating plays and attacking presence.
Flamengo would be willing to invest around 10 million euros (around 64 million reais) to sign him, an amount four times higher than that paid by Inter Miami to Casa Pia, from Portugal . The player's international projection and leadership profile make the investment justifiable in the eyes of the red-black board. However, Real Betis, from Spain, has also expressed interest in the athlete, which could start a fierce competition.
Segovia's good performance in the 2025 Club World Cup, where he started in every game and scored a goal against Porto of Portugal, contributed even more to his value and motivates a possible start of conversation.
In 28 matches, he scored five goals and provided three assists, a performance that pleased Filipe Luís's coaching staff, who see him as the ideal replacement for Gerson. The Venezuelan played in the Club World Cup and is still competing in the COCACAF Champions League and the MLS (American Championship).
Mengão squad says goodbye to the United States after playing in the Club World Cup, where they reached the round of 16

Eliminated by Bayern Munich in the Club World Cup semi-finals, Flamengo begins its transition back to the routine of Brazilian football this Monday (30) . The delegation leaves the United States at 10 pm (Brasília time) bound for Galeão Airport, on Governador Island, in Rio de Janeiro.
The return marks the end of the international stint, but also the beginning of a new plan. With the focus once again on national and continental competitions, Rubro-Negro is organizing the squad's return for next Saturday, July 5th, at 9:30 am, at Ninho do Urubu.
The coaching staff decided to give the players a week off, as a way of recovering physically and mentally after the exhaustion of the competition. The break is strategic, as Flamengo has a marathon of games ahead in July, involving the Brazilian Championship, the Copa do Brasil and the Libertadores.
The return will be marked by intense training at the training center, with a focus on regaining the lead in the Brasileirão and the decisive stages of the knockout tournaments. The tendency is for Mengão to use the period to adjust the team and recover players who returned from the World Cup with muscle fatigue.
Although Flamengo 's next match in the Brasileirão is theoretically scheduled against São Paulo, as the home team, confirmation of the date still depends on the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). The game was scheduled to take place during the Club World Cup. With the early elimination, the club expected the match to be rescheduled. However, the CBF is facing difficulties with the tight schedule, and the current trend is that the duel with São Paulo will be held for July 13.
