Rafael Sóbis went to 'CharlaPodcast' recently and spoke about all the differences he sees in Arrascaeta years after the two were teammates. The Flamengo star and idol already considers himself a Carioca citizen at heart and always makes a point of pointing out how much he loves the city, its culture and people. For the former Cruzeiro striker, it was Rio de Janeiro and its charms that changed the Uruguayan.

Arrasca played with Sóbis at Cruzeiro when he was at the club between 2015 and 2018. He arrived at Flamengo to see history being made from 2019 onwards. Sagrado, starting to compete and win in several championships, but the changes didn't stop there.

The former Cruzeiro player said: “Arrasca” at Cruzeiro was really shy. What does Rio (de Janeiro) do to people, right?" Rafael Sóbis even pointed out that Arrascaeta could already be considered Brazilian. The striker started talking about the changes in him due to a comment by Thiago Neves, in 2019, which was recalled by the presenters.

Neves was also on Cruzeiro with the athletes. He even took the Uruguayan's number 10 shirt when he left in 2019. At the time, he opined that Arrascaeta would never work out in Flamengo exactly for being shy. However, time tried to show that the Brazilian midfielder was wrong in the projection. And the Mantle fit him like a glove.

Sóbis still made a point of pointing out in the podcast how impressed he was with the talent and ability of his teammate: "This guy plays a lot of ball!" He said that what enchanted him most was his performance in training. Although he put on a show during games, he "took the guys for a fool" during training.

Striker Michael will be the next to leave Flamengo, as he is no longer in coach Filipe Luís's plans. The board has released the player to listen to offers and negotiate a new team in the second half of the year. Brazilian football clubs have already begun inquiries about the player.

According to Flamengo's plan https://www.flamengo.com.br/ , the coaching staff sees no room for the striker in the current roster rotation. The departure is part of a series of market moves to reduce the number of players outside the coach's plans.

VICTOR HUGO IS LOANED

Midfielder Victor Hugo has agreed to a loan move to Santos , a deal expected to be finalized in the coming hours. The news was reported by journalist Venê Casagrande and confirms another transfer window departure.

The 21-year-old had returned to Brazilian football after a stint in Turkey, but failed to make the first team. Facing direct competition from the likes of Luiz Araújo, Plata, and Matheus Gonçalves, the youngster opted to move to Vila Belmiro , despite interest from Corinthians .

After spending most of the week out of field activities with his teammates, Jorginho returned to training this Saturday (30) and was included in the list of players involved in the game against Grêmio. The midfielder participated in the last activity before the 22nd round of the Brazilian Championship and became an option for coach Filipe Luís. The player himself confirmed the call-up on his social networks, encouraging the Mais Querido fans.

Jorginho missed training from Wednesday to Friday due to muscle discomfort felt shortly after the 8-0 thrashing of Vitória, last Monday (25). Despite the precaution, the quick physical recovery pleased the coaching staff.

If the defensive midfielder doesn't start, Allan and Everton Araújo will compete for the position alongside Saúl. In this scenario, Arrascaeta will remain as the main playmaker in the central attack. De La Cruz could also appear in the starting eleven.

LEFT BACK IS DISPUTED

Another open position is the left-back position. Alex Sandro, injured, is out of the match and will not play again this round. The spot will be between Ayrton Lucas and Viña. The Uruguayan was considered earlier in the week as an immediate option after the starter's departure, but the decision will only be made shortly before the match.

FLAMENGO FACES GRÊMIO

After the biggest victory in the history of the points system, beating Vitória 8-0, Flamengo returns to Maracanã this Sunday (31), at 4 pm (Brasília time), to face Grêmio in the 22nd round of the Brazilian Championship.

A significant reduction in payroll following the departures of Matheus Gonçalves, Victor Hugo, and Lorran helps Mais Querido maintain financial stability.

Flamengo will see a monthly reduction of approximately R$1 million in its payroll costs . This reduction was achieved following the recent departures of Matheus Gonçalves, Victor Hugo, and Lorran , three young players who had lost their place in the main squad.

According to information released by journalist Venê Casagrande, the measure contributes to the financial stability of the club , which seeks balance amid recent high investments.

The decision is part of a larger board strategy aimed at restructuring the payroll, which had been steadily growing. The expectation is that the savings will not only preserve the budget but also create room for potential signings in strategic positions, without compromising the sporting quality.

MICHAEL HAS A HIGH SALARY

One of the points under review at the club involves Michael's situation . The striker, who recently returned to Flamengo , has a monthly fee similar to that of the three youngsters combined. Although an official decision has not yet been made, the possibility of negotiation has not been ruled out.

FLAMENGO'S NEXT CHALLENGE

After achieving the biggest victory in the points era, beating Vitória 8-0, the isolated leader of the Brasileirão returns to the field this Sunday (31), at 4 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã, to face Grêmio in the 22nd round of the competition.
