Striker Carlinhos, still linked to Flamengo , is at the center of a standoff involving Vitória, Remo and the Rio de Janeiro Red-Black team itself. Without a place in the Bahian team led by Thiago Carpini, the player is not part of the coach's plans and has already been informed that he will hardly have opportunities for the rest of the season.
Given the situation, Vitória began to consider returning the player to his original club. The attempt, however, was met with a direct response from Flamengo: the return was promptly refused. Carlinhos has a loan contract with Vitória until December 2025. The permanent contract with Flamengo extends until the end of 2026.
The refusal of the Rio de Janeiro club to accept him back created a stagnation point in the negotiations, leaving the athlete in a kind of “contractual limbo”. Even though he was discarded at Barradão, he remains integrated into the Bahian squad, but has not been selected for matches. Vitória's management is trying to find a destination for the striker, who arrived at the club at the beginning of the year with the expectation of fighting for a position.
Given the impasse, Carlinhos' name began to be evaluated by other teams in Série B. Remo, in the process of restructuring its squad after the arrival of Marcos Braz, Flamengo's former vice president of football , emerged as interested. Braz knows the striker well from his time at Flamengo and sees Carlinhos as an interesting market opportunity for the Pará club.
The proposal, however, was not well received by Carlinhos. According to information from journalist Venê Casagrande, from SBT Rio, the center forward showed no interest in playing for Remo in the Série B. The reason was not explained, but the reading behind the scenes is that the striker does not see a move to Belém at this point in his career with good eyes.

Leão goes to Maracanã to face Mengão defending a long period of invincibility and being able to enter the G4 of the Brasileirão
08 Ago 2025 | 19:00 |
Flamengo and Mirassol face each other this Saturday (09), at 6:30 pm, at Maracanã, for the 19th round of the Brasileirão. Rubro-Negro arrives at the clash after being eliminated in the Copa do Brasil, with the mission of winning to maintain the leadership of the competition. On the other side, they will have an opponent motivated by a campaign above all expectations .
Flamengo has 37 points, the same number as Cruzeiro, but leads on goal difference (24 to 19) and still has a game in hand over the Minas Gerais team. A victory at Maracanã will guarantee the Rio de Janeiro club the top of the table at the end of the first round .
Mirassol, meanwhile, is the big revelation in this Série A. In its debut season, the São Paulo team sits fifth with 28 points— the result of seven wins, seven draws, and only two losses in 16 matches . Interestingly, it's the team with the fewest losses in the championship, along with Flamengo . With a victory, the newcomer could enter the top four of the competition.
If Flamengo wins this Saturday, it will end Mirassol's three-month unbeaten streak. The São Paulo team's last loss was to Red Bull Bragantino on May 5th . Since then, Rafael Guanaes's team has won six and drawn three, with an impressive 77% success rate.
Initial projections pointed to a relegation battle, due to an experienced squad, an average age over 29, and several well-known names, such as midfielder Gabriel, formerly of Flamengo . However, the team's performance in the first round exceeded expectations: third-best attack (27 goals) and sixth-best defense (16 conceded), in addition to good results against more popular opponents.
Despite this, the strategy against Flamengo should follow the usual visiting team strategy at Maracanã: a defensive posture, deep lines, and a reliance on counterattacks . Flamengo, in turn, should control possession and look for spaces to create the chances that will secure the victory.
