After signing Nicolas De La Cruz from River Plate and Matias Viña from Roma, Flamengo set new goals to meet the arrival of reinforcements this window.
With the transfer window closed in most of the major European centers, Fla is still aiming for replacement, with the departure of Pablo - to Botafogo - and Rodrigo Caio in defense and the reinforcement of another right winger requested by Tite.
Léo Ortiz and Domingos Duarte is competing for the red-black board's priority to reinforce the team's defensive sector. Red Bull Bragantino has been playing hard in terms of prices to sell the team captain. Pedro Caixinha's idea is to be able to extend the negotiations until the end of February.
This is because Bragantino has 8 games in the month, 6 for the São Paulo championship and 2 for the pre-Libertadores phase, and wants count on the defender in these games.
Domingos Duarte has everything arranged with Fla and is just waiting for a signal from coach Tite's team to say goodbye to Spain and head to Brazil. Flamengo's football council will hold a meeting this Monday to, among other things, decide whether to hire Ortiz, Duarte, bring them both in or go for a third option.
And the third option could come from Russia. Recently, Flamengo contacted defender Lucas Fasson's staff. The defender has a contract with Lokomotiv until June 2026, is 22 years old, is Brazilian and is 1.90m tall. Revealed by São Paulo, the player also spent time at Athlético-PR before arriving in Europe. An absolute starter for the Russian team, the player played in 16 of the last 18 matches, always playing the full 90 minutes.
Despite having contacted the athlete's staff, Flamengo has not yet opened negotiations for the player.
For the right wing, the ball of choice is now Tiago Palacios. Palacios is Uruguayan, 22 years old and has a contract with Montevideo City until December 2027.
One of the obstacles to signing the young Uruguayan jewel is the contract that Grupo City has with Bahia. As they belong to the group, Bahia has preference for all players who belong to the group. In other words, if Flamengo really wants the player, Bahia will be notified and will have the opportunity to match the values that Flamengo may offer, exercising priority in the deal.
Flamengo has not yet defined who will invest on the right wing, since Tete, ex-Internacional and Brian Rodriguez from América de México, are also on the list of likely reinforcements for the position.
