Not satisfied with the titles and records achieved by Flamengo, coach Jorge Jesus continues to make history in football. This Friday (08), Al-Hilal (SAU), the team led by the Portuguese, defeated Al-Riyadh (SAU) 3-1, reaching 27 consecutive victories in the season. In this scenario, the 'Mister' team equaled the world record for triumphs held by The New Saints, from Wales.

Jorge Jesus marked another important milestone in his career as a football coach. With 27 consecutive victories, the Portuguese made history with Al-Hilal. So far, the Saudi team has tied in triumphs with The New Saints, who achieved this feat in 2016. Therefore, the team that includes Neymar and Michael, ex-Flamengo, is one step away from taking over the ranking in this regard.

In addition to the winning record, Jorge Jesus' team also has an unbeaten run of 35 games, with 32 wins and three draws. With these numbers, Al-Hilal is currently the second team with the longest series of positive results in world football, next to Bayer Leverkusen, from Germany.

AL-HILAL COULD PASS RECORD IN THE NEXT ROUND

Al-Hilal is focused on breaking this record. In this way, the the Saudi team's next commitment is treated as crucial behind the scenes at the club. On Tuesday (12), Jorge Jesus' team faces Al-Ittihad (SAU), in the return match of the Asian Champions League. If they win the match, ‘Mister’ and company will own the greatest number of triumphs in the history of world football.

Last Wednesday (4), Flamengo held the seventh edition of the Sangue Rubro-negro campaign, at the Gávea headquarters. Hemorio's partner team was at the Gávea headquarters, from 10am to 3pm, collecting blood in the playground's party room. Athletes, employees and associates were able to donate and make a difference: each bag of blood can save up to four lives.

In addition to encouraging blood donation, the campaign also sought to raise awareness about the importance of this act of generosity and how it can save lives. “The partnership with Flamengo Social Responsibility is very important. More than attracting donors, this action seeks to awaken civic and social sentiment, ensure greater dissemination and demystify fears. It is an extremely educational and important action for maintaining stocks”, declared Dr. Renata de Almeida, a Hemorio doctor present at the action.

Blood donation is essential for health units to continue serving patients undergoing treatments and surgeries. The only way to guarantee the blood supply is through voluntary donations.

To donate blood, you must have an official identification document with photo, original or certified copy; be between 16 and 69 years old; be fed and in good health; weigh more than 50 kg; not be pregnant or breastfeeding. For more information about donating blood, visit www.hemorio.rj.gov.br or call 0800 282 0708. Hemorio is located at Rua Frei Caneca, nº 8, in the center of Rio. Donate blood, donate life!

Forward Michael returned to Flamengoin this transfer window after a three-year spell at Al Hilal, in Saudi Arabia . Although he completed his return to Rubro-Negro, the player initially showed interest in playing for Cruzeiro. The information was revealed by Alexandre Mattos, CEO of the celestial club, during an interview with columnist Jaeci Carvalho, from the newspaper Estado de Minas, on Monday, September 2nd.

WISH TO PLAY FOR CRUZEIRO COMES UP TO FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES

According to Mattos, Michael wanted to wear the Cruzeiro shirt, but negotiations did not progress due to the club's financial situation miner. “Michael wanted it, of course… The manager is the same as Matheus Pereira. Of course there was a survey on both sides. Cruzeiro is now seen as a good payer. Everyone wants to come here. Michael wanted it”, stated the CEO.

However, Mattos highlighted that the amounts involved in the hiring were beyond what Cruzeiro could afford at the moment. “But these are values that deviate from Cruzeiro’s current reality. Who knows, maybe in the future, with the club more balanced and debts paid, we can think about it”, he added.

CAREER MANAGED BY THE SAME BUSINESSMAN AS MATHEUS PEREIRA

Michael's career is managed by Eduardo Maluf, the same manager as Matheus Pereira, Cruzeiro's current number 10. During his time at Al Hilal, Michael and Pereira played together, which strengthened the bond between the two players and generated expectations about a possible reunion at the Minas Gerais club.

MICHAEL AS CRUZEIRO'S "CHERRY ON THE CAKE"

Michael has been on Cruzeiro's radar since the beginning of businessman Pedro Lourenço's management, who acquired SAF (Sociedade Anônima do Futebol) of the club in April. The intention was for the striker to be the team's "icing on the cake" for the second half. However, the negotiations did not progress beyond the initial interest, leading the player to opt to return to Flamengo.
