0The duo Flamengo and Fluminense are close to being made official as the winner of the Maracanã. And this Monday, the Special Committee for the concession of the stadium released a report with the final score of the consortia based on the financial proposals.
The Fla-Flu Consortium presented a proposal of R$ 20,060,874.12 . The amount will be paid to the Government during the 20 years of operation and exploration of Maracanã and Maracanãzinho. The proposal from the Maracanã Para Todos Consortium, by Vasco and WTorre, was R$ 20,000,777.28.
In this way, the Fla-Flu duo received a final score of 120, 2, while Vasco and WTorre had 97 points. In other words, Flamengo and Fluminense achieved 23.2 points more than the competing consortium. The expectation, in fact, is that the Government of Rio de Janeiro will officially announce the result in the next few days.
This is the second bid for Maracanã since the major renovation for the 2014 World Cup. In 2013, Odebrecht won the race and would keep the stadium for 35 years. The Government, however, broke the deal. contract in 2019 due to a series of irregularities. Since then, Flamengo and Fluminense have managed the site through a Term of Use Permission (TPU).
