After six years as vice-president of football at Flamengo, Marcos Braz signaled that he wants a moment of tranquility, planning to dedicate himself more to his personal life and his family. During this period, he was a fundamental player in the management of red and black football, being one of those responsible for winning important titles such as the Libertadores, Brasileirão and Copa do Brasil. However, with the natural wear and tear of the position and the recent challenges faced by the club, Braz is already showing a desire to take a step back from his daily activities at Flamengo.
Despite this desire to leave, Braz does not rule out the possibility of continuing to contribute to the club. In recent statements, he stated that he is open to occupying an institutional position at Flamengo, which would allow him to maintain his relationship with the team in a lighter and less intense way than the position of vice-president of football requires. "I always want to help Flamengo",said Braz, reinforcing his passion and commitment to the Rio club.
AN OUTPUT THAT DOESN'T MATCH THE WORDS
This possible change of role within d< a href="https://www.sofascore.com/pt/time/futebol/flamengo/5981" target="_blank">Flamengo could be beneficial for both Braz and the club itself. By taking on a more institutional role, he would have the opportunity to contribute his vast experience in a more strategic way, while having more time for his personal life. Throughout his tenure, Marcos Braz has always demonstrated his ability to lead negotiations and assemble competitive squads, something that could continue to be useful, even in a less operational role.
Flamengo, in turn, would undergo a restructuring in the football department. The departure of Marcos Braz from the position of vice president would represent the end of a cycle, and new names would have the mission of continuing the work done so far, seeking to keep the club at the top of the competitions. Although Braz's departure is a real possibility, the director is still present in Flamengo's daily life and, while there is no official definition, he continues to collaborate in red-black football activities.
BRAZ CAN RETURN TO FLAMENGO FOOTBALL
Whether or not Braz continues at Flamengo may also depend on the result of the elections for the club's presidency, which will take place in 2024. If the current president, Rodolfo Landim, or a name aligned with the current management is elected, it is possible that Braz continues to play some role within the club's structure. On the other hand, a change in the board could mean the definitive end of his time in Flamengo football.

Flamengo recently rejected inquiries from three European clubs for defender Léo Pereira . According to the ge portal, Valencia, Sevilla, and Porto have expressed interest in the player , seeking information on the conditions for a potential deal.
Despite contact from representatives, the club's board made it clear that it has no intention of negotiating the player during this window . However, communication between the parties will remain open for future discussions.
Currently, the only way for Léo Pereira to leave the Rio de Janeiro club would be to pay the full release clause, set at 60 million euros (approximately R$380 million). A similar situation occurs with Léo Ortiz , who has also been targeted by European clubs.
Signed in 2020 to replace Pablo Marí, the defender arrived after the Spaniard's departure to Arsenal . At the time, Rubro-Negro paid around €7 million (approximately R$32 million) to Athletico-PR.
Since wearing the red-and-black jersey, Léo Pereira has made 251 appearances, scored 15 goals, and provided five assists. The defender has won a Copa Libertadores, a Campeonato Brasileiro , two Copa do Brasil titles, a Recopa Sudamericana, a Supercopa Rei, and four state titles.
Spanish defender, champion of the Libertadores and Brasileirão in 2019, has attracted interest from the Minas Gerais team, but is currently enjoying a good run of form in Italian football.

Pablo Marí, one of the key players in Flamengo's Libertadores and Brasileirão triumphs in 2019, may be in Atlético-MG's sights. According to Italian journalist Nicolò Schira, a transfer market specialist, the Minas Gerais club has expressed interest in signing the Spanish defender , currently a starter for Fiorentina.
"Two foreign clubs have shown interest in defender Pablo Marí ," Schira revealed on social media. " Atlético Mineiro is interested in defender Pablo Marí ," the reporter added.
After excelling at Flamengo , Pablo Marí was sold to Arsenal in England in 2020 for 14 million euros. The defender also spent time on loan at Udinese and Monza , before being acquired permanently by the Italian club in 2023.
Thanks to the maintenance of 40% of the economic rights at the time of the transfer, Flamengo made a profit of around R$14.6 million from the negotiation and still has to receive a portion of 680 thousand euros (approximately R$4.35 million), an amount that should be paid soon.
In early 2025 , Pablo Marí transferred to Fiorentina, responding to a request from coach Raffaele Palladino , who had previously worked with him at Monza. With a contract until June 2026, the defender is a key player in the Italian club's defense, making an immediate release difficult.
