Former teammates at Flamengo, Rafinha and Filipe Luís built a memorable partnership on the club's flanks. Now, at 39 years old and playing for São Paulo, the number 13 is already planning his future off the pitch. In a recent statement, the right-back expressed his desire to become a coach and, who knows, work alongside the current coach of Mengão and also guaranteed an invitation from the former commander of the two at Rubro-Negro, Jorge Jesus.
“There is the possibility of one day working together (with Filipe Luís). Filipe is my brother, but I have an invitation from Jorge Jesus, from Xabi (Alonso) at Leverkusen… I have a lot of invitations to be second, to be together and learn. “I want to become a professional football athlete, go out and prepare. Do internship in Germany, England, Spain, go to the coaches I worked for and do an internship. Here in Brazil too… In 2026, I want to start my career as a coach. I know the journey is difficult, but I'm going to work, dedicate myself, do what I have to do, so that in 2026 I can be on the sidelines as a coach”, concluded the former Flamengo player.

The duo played together at Flamengo between July 2019 and August 2020, when Rafinha left the club to play for Olympiacos (Greece). During the period, both won:
