World champion with Italy in 2006, former defender Marco Materazzi was one of the great names of the Italian National Team and Inter Milan. In an interview given to TNT Sports, in Munich, the former player revealed that he has a great friendship with Adriano and that, since he was a child, he had the dream of playing for Flamengo at Maracanã.

"I swapped my shirt with Romário. It was a pleasure to be with Adriano, because all Inter fans love him. He is a very nice guy and I have him in my heart. It was a dream (to play at Maracanã). When I started playing football, when I was about 5 years old, one of those dreams was to play for Flamengo at Maracanã . I think so (Flamengo is my team in Brazil). Adriano, Julio Cesar, Romário, I like this team" - revealed Materazzi.
In the 2006 World Cup final between Italy and France, Marco Materazzi and Zinedine Zidane had an altercation during extra time . After an exchange of words, Zidane turned and headbutted the Italian defender in the chest, causing him to fall to the ground . The referee, after consulting the refereeing team, sent the midfielder off. The act shocked the world, as it was the last match of the French star's career. Materazzi later revealed that he had responded to a provocation with a phrase involving Zidane's sister. On that occasion, Italy won on penalties and took the title.
Marco Materazzi began his career with Marsala and later had spells with Trapani, Perugia and a brief spell at Everton (1998–99), where he made 33 appearances and scored 2 goals. He returned to Perugia, where he distinguished himself with 12 goals in the 2000–01 Serie A, a record for a defender. In 2001, he moved to Inter Milan, where he played until 2011, making 276 appearances and scoring 20 goals. With Inter, he won 5 Italian Championships, 4 Italian Cups, 4 Super Cups and 1 Champions League. For the Italian national team, he made 41 appearances and scored 2 goals, including one in the 2006 World Cup final. In his career, Materazzi made 479 appearances and scored 40 goals. He ended his career as a player-coach with Chennaiyin FC in India.

After the negotiation of Matheus Gonçalves with Al-Ahli , from Saudi Arabia, Flamengo must promote new changes in its squad in this transfer window. According to journalist Joanna de Assis, from SporTV, at least four other players are close to leaving Gávea . The information was revealed on the program Tá On, this Wednesday (27).
The names most likely to leave are Victor Hugo, Lorran , Juninho, and Michael, all of whom have no place in Filipe Luís's squad. Victor Hugo has received inquiries from Santos, but talks have not progressed in recent weeks. Lorran is very close to being traded to Pisa, a club in Italy's Serie B.

Flamengo fans once again confirmed their strength in the stands of Maracanã. Six days before the match against Grêmio , valid for the 22nd round of the Brazilian Championship, tickets were sold out this Tuesday (26) . Matheus Gonçalves was on the list of players released for trading this summer. The midfielder started 2025 in the senior squad , but failed to overcome stiff competition in the attacking department and had few opportunities. In the senior team, he played 15 games and scored two goals. Faced with a lack of playing time, he himself requested a return to the U-20s, where he managed to make a run of appearances.
