After winning the first game 4-3, Flamengo showed its strength by achieving a thrilling 3-3 draw in the return match, guaranteeing the conquest of the continental title. Rodrigo Mendes, scorer of one of the goals in the decision, and Lê, responsible for the title goal, recalled the achievement.
Lê, then just 20 years old, joked about the time he had spent, highlighting the emotion of having lived one of the great moments of club history.
"I'm getting too old to start the story (laughs), but it's really rewarding for us I've been rooting for a team since I was a kid. I've always had something about Flamengo. Lençol, ball, everything was Flamengo. I arrived at 11 years at Gávea and I have a great trajectory, a lot of goals.
