During an exclusive interview with Coluna do Fla this Tuesday (03), Luiz Eduardo Baptista, candidate for president of Flamengo, presented his ideas for the club if elected. BAP spared no criticism of the current management model, especially the position of vice-president of football, held by Marcos Braz. He questioned the need for an amateur position in such a strategic position at Flamengo.

In his criticism, BAP compared Flamengo with major clubs in world football. "Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, Manchester City, Liverpool... do any of the 25 biggest clubs in the world have a vice-president of amateur football? 12 Serie A clubs do not have a vice-president of amateur football. The current two-time champion Palmeiras does not have a VP of amateur football. Why do you have to have one at Flamengo?", provoked the candidate.

DEFENSE FOR PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT< /p>

In addition to the criticism, BAP defended more professional management at Flamengo, suggesting that the club's strategic positions be occupied by trained professionals and that they are held accountable for results. "You need to have a professional manager who understands the subject, who is held accountable for results and who is responsible for the decisions he makes", he argued.

BAP also highlighted that, in an amateur model, managers do not take responsibility the consequences of their decisions, which compromises the efficiency and responsibility in the management of the club. "In all the important positions we have in life, there is a bonus and a bonus. In the case of an amateur manager, there is only a bonus", he concluded.
