The CBF defined Brasília as the venue for the match between Brazil and Peru, in the World Cup qualifiers, in October. The duel will be on the 15th, at 9:45 pm, at the Mané Garrincha stadium. The game is valid for the 10th round of the qualifying tournament for the 2026 World Cup. Before that, the Brazilian team will face Ecuador and Paraguay, in September, and Chile, on October 10.
The last time the The men's team played in the federal capital in 2021, when they beat Venezuela 3-0, in a match without the presence of an audience, in the Copa América.
For this match, Mané Garrincha will have a new field. The land is under renovation, it has already undergone laser leveling and, this Tuesday, the planting of the lawn began. The service is expected to be completed by Friday.
