CBF SIMPLY IGNORED FLAMENGO TO RESCHEDULE GAME AGAINST CUIABÁ
The match needed to be changed so as not to conflict with the Brazilian game

Once again the messy Brazilian football calendar displeases Flamengo. Tite even, in the press conference after the victory over Galo, in Minas expressed his dissatisfaction with the short interval between matches and revealed that the club asked the entity to take advantage of the time change to remove the game against Cuiabá from Saturday (6). But the result was an advance in one hour.
The CBF changed the time for Flamengo x Cuiabá so as not to avoid conflict with the Brazilian team's game, which will be at 10pm. Initially, the organization wanted to move the game for the 15th round from 9pm to 7pm, but the final decision was that the match will start at 8pm. Flamengo, however, gave the entity other options.
“We asked for the game (against Cuiabá) to be on Sunday, we asked for it to be Monday”, said Tite when commenting on the time change in the post-game press conference. Then, Cleber Xavier added, remembering that the result of the request was the advance: “The game was still an hour shorter, right?”
Flamengo, therefore, will continue with games and trips with breaks that rarely come at least 72 hours. Considering the time of the final whistle against Atlético-MG, the team will have around 67 hours until the game against Cuiabá, and they still had to return from Minas to Rio de Janeiro.
There are no apparent reasons , in addition to prioritizing the desire of the rights holder, for the CBF not to change the match date. Botafogo is the only rival that will play in Rio this weekend, against Internacional, on Sunday. In other words, the city will not host games on Monday.
In addition, Flamengo will only enter the field on Thursday (11), against Fortaleza, at Castelão. The only problem could be the Cuiabá game in the middle of the week, which the CBF has not yet confirmed will be Wednesday (10) or Thursday (11).
However, there is room for the CBF to modify Cuiabá's calendar and prevent the Mato Grosso team from facing the same thing as Flamengo. After defeat to Botafogo at home this Wednesday, the team now needs to start training and prepare a trip to Rio.
It is worth remembering that, recently, the organization changed the date of the Palmeiras x Corinthians classic at the team's request alviverde. The reason was that the team was unable to use Allianz Parque on Saturday, the starting date, and Arena Barueri was undergoing renovations on the pitch. The match was rescheduled to Monday (1).
