With an eye on the 2025 Club World Cup , Chelsea is in the market for reinforcements and is targeting young defender Dean Huijsen , a standout player for Bournemouth in the Premier League . According to British newspaper The Independent , the London club is willing to pay an amount close to the Spanish defender's release clause, set at 55 million euros (around R$360 million at the current rate).
At 20 years old, Huijsen has established himself as one of the promising players in the English league, also attracting the attention of Real Madrid , who are monitoring the player's situation. Chelsea intend to sign the defender during the special transfer window created exclusively for the participants of the Club World Cup. The period runs from June 1st to 10th.
In the tournament that will be held in the United States, the Blues will face Espérance-TUN and another team that has yet to be defined. Initially, the group would feature Club León-MEX , but the Mexican team was excluded by FIFA for violating rules related to the participation of clubs with the same owner .
Flamengo , who are also in the same group, will closely monitor the performance of Chelsea, their main opponent in the initial phase of the World Cup.

The meeting will feature the presentation of an economic feasibility study on the construction of the club's new stadium , planned for the port area of Rio de Janeiro. The survey was commissioned by Bap's administration and prepared by the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV).
