With Gerson getting closer and closer to being traded to Zenit, from Russia, Flamengo has started a behind-the-scenes movement to find a name capable of filling the midfielder's technical absence. And the hot topic of the moment is Anderson Talisca. The attacking midfielder from Fenerbahçe, from Turkey, has started to be discussed internally and could be a target for the club for the remainder of 2025.
Gerson's departure, which has not yet been made official, is considered imminent by people close to the board. As a result, Flamengo is working on advance planning and has Talisca among the names being monitored. According to information from journalist Jorge Nicola, he is considered an interesting alternative not only for Gerson's position, but also for the possible departure of other athletes with high salaries.
The initial approach to Talisca's name did not come directly from the board, but there have already been conversations between Flamengo players and the attacking midfielder. The former Bahia player has heard praise for the club's structure, the work environment and, mainly, the punctuality in payments - an always relevant topic for athletes playing outside the major European centers.
According to the investigation, Talisca's positive reception of Flamengo pleased those who closely follow the possible negotiation. He reportedly made no initial demands and is positive about a return to Brazilian football, as long as it is at a competitive and financially stable club. In addition to the imminent sale of Gerson, Flamengo is considering making room on the payroll with possible departures of players such as Everton Cebolinha and even Michael, if the forward's return to Al Hilal or another club abroad is confirmed.
The idea is to keep the team balanced and competitive, without going over financial limits. Talisca, now 31 years old, would have a high salary, but within a range considered viable, especially in comparison to names already present in the group. The board is evaluating the cost-benefit and understands that the signing can add value in terms of technical and leadership skills.
The former striker is an idol for both teams and was asked who he would support in a potential clash between Mengão and the Italians.

An idol on and off the field, Adriano Imperador never hid his passion for Flamengo, the club he's loved since childhood. Even so, the former striker built a remarkable career at Inter Milan (ITA), where he gained international fame and earned the nickname "Emperor."
In an interview released by “Romário TV” last Thursday (11), Adriano once again highlighted his connection with Mengão. When asked by Romário who he would support in a match between Flamengo and Inter, the former player did not hesitate: “ Flamengo, always. No chance of another fan base .”
Adriano recently hosted a farewell match at the Maracanã stadium, bringing together former teammates from Flamengo and Inter . He played for each team for a period of time, in a celebration marked by emotion and the affection of the fans.
Despite his declared support for Flamengo, Adriano is deeply grateful to Inter. It was at the Italian club that he established himself as a global star , winning titles and notoriety, as well as earning the nickname that defined his football career.
A product of his youth development at Gávea, the striker has always maintained close ties with the red-and-black fans. His most memorable stint came in 2009, when he returned to the club and played a key role in the Brasileirão title , finishing the competition as the top scorer and idol of the nation.
With Adriano Imperador in the crowd, Flamengo returns to the field this Sunday (14), against Juventude, for the 23rd round of the Brasileirão . The match will be played at 4 pm (Brasília time), at the Alfredo Jaconi Stadium, in Caxias do Sul, with broadcast on Amazon Prime Video.
The Mengão player recently arrived at Cruzmaltino and scored in the penalty shootout, but the reaction brought out his affection for his former club.

Vasco eliminated Botafogo on penalties and secured a place in the semifinals of the Copa do Brasil last Thursday (11). But, in addition to qualifying, the one who caught attention was Matheus França, ex-Flamengo , who converted his penalty and went viral with an unexpected reaction.
After scoring, the 21-year-old midfielder began kissing Vasco's crest . However, he stopped mid-motion, as if remembering his roots. On social media, Vasco fans were unforgiving, joking that "the Gávea native's reflexes spoke louder ."
ARRIVAL AT VASCO
Matheus França recently arrived at Vasco da Gama after being traded by Flamengo to Crystal Palace (ENG). During his presentation, he avoided naming the team that introduced him: " Everyone knows my trajectory, my beginnings at the rival club , but the most important thing is to focus here at Vasco."
Revealed at Ninho do Urubu, França emerged as one of the brightest prospects in the club's youth academy . He didn't play a regular season as a professional, but he was part of the squad that won the Libertadores and Copa do Brasil in 2022.
The reunion could happen soon. This is because Flamengo and Vasco face each other in the 24th round of the Brasileirão, on September 21 , at 5:30 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã. But before that, Mais Querido faces Juventude this Sunday (14), at 4 pm, in the Brazilian Championship.
The striker was suspended for 12 games for Mengão in matches organized by the CBF, but the court will ask for it to be extended to continental matches.

Bruno Henrique's 12-game suspension , initially valid only for the Brazilian Championship, may extend beyond national borders . The ruling in the first instance trial at the Superior Court of Justice (STJD) calls for a letter to be sent to the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) requesting that the suspension be extended to FIFA at the end of the trial.
The court's prosecutor suggested internationalizing Bruno Henrique 's sentence based on two regulations:
The rapporteur of the case, Dr. Alcino Guedes, accepted the suggestion. During the trial, he emphasized that it would make no sense to limit the punishment to Brazil alone : "It would make no sense if the punishments applied were disregarded outside Brazil, as a free pass for the accused to act freely in another country, especially given the gravity of the disciplinary infractions committed."
Despite the ruling, the official letter to the CBF will only be sent after the second instance trial, a date yet to be set. Flamengo appealed to the STJD Plenary and also requested a stay of execution to release Bruno Henrique pending the conclusion of the case.
Even if the suspension isn't granted immediately, the forward is expected to be available to face Estudiantes in the Copa Libertadores next week. This is because the international ban can only be applied after the final ruling, which has yet to be announced.
