Last Thursday night (13), Flamengo achieved another important victory in the Brazilian Championship, 2-1, against Grêmio, at the Maracanã Stadium. With the result, Flamengo reached 17 points and resumed the lead in the competition. Grêmio, with six points, remains close to the relegation zone.

The game also featured a special visitor. Neymar took advantage of his vacation in Brazil to watch a Brasileirão match. Al Hilal's number 10 went to Maracanã for the match between Flamengo and Grêmio and even entered Mengão's dressing room. The match was also marked by a disallowed penalty. Bruno Henrique after a dispute with defender Kannemann. Luiz Flávio de Oliveira even gave the penalty, but the VAR canceled it.

The move still had a lot of repercussions throughout Friday. Flamengo's striker was heavily criticized and journalist Rizek, from Globo Esporte, criticized the player's attitude.

“The move that stuck in my head in yesterday's games is Bruno Henrique's simulation, I'm very “bold” with this thing. At the time I had a clear feeling of a penalty. I would have been fooled, like the referee. It's a logical deduction, the player has a marker in front of him, why simulate? It’s illogical,” he commented.

“After I understood that it was a simulation, I was outraged at Bruno Henrique. It doesn't make any sense for a player to prefer playing rather than scoring a goal. In the era of VAR, it doesn't make sense, it's very unintelligent. I don’t think I could be a leader, because if I were, I would be mad at him, thinking about fining him,” he said.

On Saturday afternoon (28), Flamengo held its last training session before facing Athletico-PR in the Brasileirão. A clash that could decide the future of coach Tite at Mengão, was attended by all the players considered to be starters, despite the expectation of a mixed team for Sunday (29).

In content published on social media of Flamengo, names like Bruno Henrique and Alex Sandro, who were starters in the Libertadores elimination, last Thursday (26), appear alongside young fledglings, such as Matheus Gonçalves and Evertton, who have been widely used in the “reserve team ” by Tite.

Flamengo may have held the last training session under Tite's command.

With his destiny becoming more uncertain at Flamengo, Tite may having led his last training session as coach of Rubro-Negro. There are four games without a win, a bad result, or poorly presented football against Athletico-PR, could mean the end of the line for the coach, just under a year after his arrival.

In the semi-finals of Copa do Brasil, where they face Corinthians, and in the G4 of the Brasileirão, Rubro-Negro's objective is clear, to become CdB champion, and remain in the classification zone for the next Libertadores in the points championship.

Flamengo received a lot of criticism after their early elimination in the Libertadores da América. The defeat to Peñarol (URU) generated calls for coach Tite's resignation from the red and black fans. According to journalist André Rizek, Tite is already “morally dismissed” from his position as coach.

“Since 2011, with Vanderlei Luxemburgo, a coach has not started and finished a season at the club. Maybe Tite will be able to do that this year, but this way, he will do it while balancing himself. I understand that Tite morally, he is already fired after yesterday”, stated Rizek.

NEGATIVE ENJOYMENT

Under Tite’s command, Flamengo was eliminated from the Libertadores with a performance below expected. In 10 games, Rubro-Negro won four wins, two draws and four defeats, resulting in a 46.6% success rate. In the knockout stage, the team had just one victory in four matches and did not score goals in the last three games, against Bolívar (BOL) and Peñarol.

TITE FIRED?

Despite the pressure Regarding Tite, Flamengo's board does not plan to fire him immediately. The coach will be evaluated in the next games against Athletico-PR, in the Brasileirão, and Corinthians, in the Copa do Brasil. If they achieve positive results, they could gain the opportunity to continue until the end of the season.
