After a goalless draw with LDU (EQU) on Tuesday (22), Flamengo lost the chance to take the lead in Group C of the Libertadores . While the red-black squad prepares for the next challenges, six matches continue the third round of the group stage this Wednesday (23).
The marathon of games begins at 7 pm (Brasília time), with two clashes from Group H. In Asunción, Paraguay, Olimpia hosts Peñarol at the Manuel Ferreira Stadium. At the same time, San Antonio Bulo Bulo (BOL) faces Vélez Sarsfield (ARG) at the Félix Capriles Stadium, in Cochabamba , Bolivia.

Flamengo will only return to the field for the Libertadores on May 7, when they face Central Córdoba, away from home, in Santiago del Estero, Argentina. Before that, the Rubro-Negro will have important commitments in the Brazilian Championship and the Copa do Brasil. The next one will be this Sunday (27), against Corinthians, at 4 pm, at Maracanã, for the sixth round of the Brasileirão.

Flamengo officially renewed Guillermo Varela's contract until December 2027 this Friday (15), as previously reported by Gazeta do Urubu. . The signing took place at Ninho do Urubu, with the presence of the football technical director, José Boto.
