At first, Bahia arrived at Flamengo in 2020 for a three-month evaluation period. After approval, he was hired first on loan, but with good performance, strong technical evolution and tactical understanding in the under-17 and under-20, he had 50% of the economic rights acquired by the rubro-negro. The first contract signed, which was valid until the end of that year, was renewed in 2022 and ended in December 2025.
Since arriving at the professionals, Cleiton has enjoyed the prestige of different technical committees, such as that of Jorge Sampaoli, and is also well evaluated by the board.
