Coach has been losing strength behind the scenes

0Unable to overcome the necessary challenges, Flamengo said goodbye to the Libertadores da América 2024 last Thursday (26 ), after being eliminated by Peñarol (URU). Coach Tite now faces a difficult time ahead of the team. Despite both internal and external pressure, there is no expectation that the coach will leave Rubro-Negro for now.
However, even without Tite's immediate departure, president Rodolfo Landim fears that Rodrigo's campaign will Dunshee could be compromised if Flamengo ends the season without winning a major title. Given this, the red and black directors began to consider dismissing the coach.
With the electoral scenario and the elimination in the Libertadores, Tite's name began to be questioned behind the scenes at the club for the first time. However, according to information from ESPN, the board does not intend to fire the coach before the Copa do Brasil dispute.
In addition to the elimination in the Libertadores , Flamengo is still competing in two important competitions in 2024: the Campeonato Brasileiro and the Copa do Brasil. Next Sunday (29), the team will face Athletico-PR at Maracanã, in the 28th round of the Brasileirão.
If the team led by Tite suffers a defeat in this game, the coach's situation will become even more delicate . However, the Flamengo board does not plan to make any decisions before the first clash of the Copa do Brasil semi-finals, against Corinthians .
Thus, the expectation is that Tite will remain in charge until the decision of the Copa do Brasil, which will begin next Wednesday (02), when Rubro-Negro will host Corinthians at Maracanã. The return game is scheduled for October 17th, at the Neo Química Arena, in São Paulo.
The club will need to go beyond expectations in other competitions to achieve its initial season planning

The board, led by Rodolfo Landim, Marcos Braz and Bruno Spindel, had stipulated that Flamengo should, at least, reach the semi-finals of the Libertadores. However, under Tite's command, the team fell in the quarter-finals without managing to score against Peñarol.

Narrator highlights lack of rehearsed plays and questions players’ performance

0Flamengo's elimination in the quarter-finals of Libertadores 2024, after the 0-0 draw with Peñarol in Uruguay, provoked harsh criticism from fans and the sports press. Among the most incisive comments, narrator Galvão Bueno used his social networks to question the tactical inefficiency of the team led by Tite and the lack of rehearsed plays to overcome the opposing defense.
"Who expected a more offensive Peñarol? at home they were completely mistaken. Flamengo, once again, showed that they have renowned players, but no planned play that disarms the defense of a well-positioned defense", said Galvão, referring to the red-black team's performance during the match.< /p>
In addition to criticizing the lack of tactical variations, the veteran narrator of 74 years also highlighted the absence of great chances created by the CRF. "After Tite's press conference, in which he stated that 'a goal would come in Montevideo', I expected some rehearsed play, but Flamengo limited themselves to crosses in the area, hitting the opponent's defense."
Regarding the players, Galvão highlighted the lackluster performance of Gabigol, who came on in the second half, but was unable to make a difference. "Gabigol came in. Did anyone see him touch the ball? Nothing was done so he could participate in the game and try something."
The sports narrator also made direct criticisms of two of the main names in the red and black squad: Arrascaeta and De la Cruz. "I'm still waiting for the two: Arrascaeta and De la Cruz. They should have commanded the midfield, creating opportunities with Gerson. Arrascaeta doesn't even remotely resemble the player who was considered the best active in South American football. And De la Cruz looks like he left his football at Monumental de Núñez, in River Plate."
The club has a big difference in work

0The Sinergia Rubro-Negra Group (SRN), made up of influential partners from Flamengo, held a meeting last Saturday (7), at the club's headquarters, located in Gávea. The main objective of the meeting was to promote fraternization among the participants, but, inevitably, club politics ended up dominating the discussions throughout the event.
The main topic that emerged during the meeting was the support of the SRN to Rodrigo Dunshee's candidacy for president of Flamengo. Dunshee, who currently holds the position of general and legal vice-president of the club, is a prominent figure in the red-black political scene. The group, made up of members who share an aligned vision regarding the club's management, sees in Dunshee a name prepared to take over Flamengo's leadership, especially considering the upcoming electoral cycle.
During the event, members of the SRN highlighted Dunshee's role in the current administration, remembering that he was a fundamental player in several legal achievements of the Flamengo in recent years. The group believes that his experience and proximity to the club's internal processes make him the ideal candidate to succeed current president Rodolfo Landim, whose tenure ends at the end of his term.
Although the initial objective of the meeting was a celebration between the partners, it was inevitable that the conversations turned to Flamengo's political future. The club's presidential elections are approaching, and political groups are already beginning to articulate support and strategies. The SRN, being a strong group within the red-black political structure, has stood out for its organization and capacity to mobilize members.
Those present discussed, among other topics, the possible implications of a possible Dunshee's candidacy. His name has been circulating among members for some time, but now, with the explicit support of the SRN, his candidacy is gaining strength. The members highlighted that Dunshee is a name of continuity, someone who is already part of the current management and deeply knows the challenges and needs of the club. This, in the group's view, represents a positive point, as Dunshee could continue the projects started under the Landim administration.
