Flamengo's youth academy product, João Gomes, continues to impress in Europe. This Saturday (9), the midfielder was a starter for Wolverhampton in the 2-1 victory against Fulham. João set up Semedo for the team's second goal, making it his second assist in the Premier League.

But it wasn't a simple pass. Garoto do Ninho showed an exceptional reading of the game, which occurred in the 67th minute of the match. João Gomes, called up, noticed the movement of Fulham's defense and surprised the opponents with a backheel to Semedo, who was free to finish. The full-back was lucky enough to make a deflection, causing the ball to reach the net.

Before the goal, Wolves had already opened the scoring with Rayan Ait-Nouri, also in the second half. Fulham managed to take advantage of Alex Iwobi in stoppage time, but it wasn't enough to prevent the home team from winning.

MUNIZ AND ANDREAS GO BLACK IN THE ROUND

The 28th Round of Premier League featured a clash between former Flamengo players at the Molineux Stadium. João Gomes was not the only former Flamengo player present at the game. On the other side of the field, Rodrigo Muniz, also created by Ninho, and Andreas Pereira, who played for Gávea in 2021 and 2022, defended Fulham.

Muniz was on a great run of goals in the Premier League, however, he failed to score this Saturday (9). Andreas Pereira, called up to the national team by Dorival, also had a lackluster performance.
