Discovered by Flamengo 's youth teams, the young Matheus Gonçalves , 19 years old, is starting to attract attention from European football . Even though he is still trying to establish himself among the professionals led by Filipe Luís, the attacking midfielder has received inquiries from two clubs from the Old Continent.
According to information from the channel 'Guilherme Flazoeiro', in partnership with the FlaBase profile, representatives from Ajax and Como (from Italy) consulted the player's staff to understand his situation at Flamengo . For now, there is no formal proposal, but interest has been signaled.
Matheus Gonçalves is considered one of the most talented prospects of the recent generation of the red-black youth team. He was promoted to the professional squad in 2023 and, after a spell on loan at Red Bull Bragantino, returned to the club in the second half of last season.
Under the command of Filipe Luís — with whom he had already worked in the youth teams —, Matheus is trying to gain more minutes on the field . So far, in the current season, he has played eight matches, played 154 minutes and scored two goals. His contract with Flamengo runs until the end of 2027.
While waiting for new opportunities, Matheus continues training with the main group and will be available for Flamengo's next match in the Brasileirão. The team faces Juventude on Wednesday (16), at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã, in the fourth round of the national competition.

The goalkeeper's impeccable performance cemented Mengão's title, securing their second title in the intercontinental youth competition.
Before the ball rolled, Léo Nannetti said he received a special message from Agustín Rossi, the starting goalkeeper for the professional squad. The encouragement served as fuel for a great performance: " Rossi sent me a message before the game to reassure me. I was able to put into practice what he and the goalkeeping coach, André, had said. We did a very detailed study and, thank God, I was able to be decisive," he said.
Emotional after the match, Nannetti highlighted the importance of the moment he experienced and the trajectory he built at the club: "It's wonderful to win this title so young alongside my brothers. I've been at Flamengo since 2016. Winning a World Cup with them is unforgettable," he declared.
With solid performances, the goalkeeper confirms his status as a promising young player. He has made 17 official appearances in 2025 and has established himself as one of the most promising players of the 2007 generation.

We were raised together since we were little, it has a special taste. My last title with the under-20. I have to congratulate Léo (Nannetti, goalkeeper) and Bruno (Pivetti, coach).
