This Wednesday (3), Real Madrid entered the field and beat Mallorca 1-0 in a game valid for the 19th round of the Spanish Championship. One of the new players in the match was Vini Jr, who returned to action after almost two months away from the field due to a thigh injury. In the post-game press conference, coach Carlo Ancelotti praised the player's professionalism during his recovery process.

With an injury suffered during a 2026 World Cup qualifier, Vini had not played since November. The former Flamengo player felt his thigh and was substituted in the first half of the game against Colombia. After examinations, the striker was expected to return to the pitch only in February.

However, his return was much quicker than expected. To the surprise of Merengues fans, Vini returned to play at the beginning of 2024. The striker was even named in Ancelotti's starting eleven for the match against Mallorca.

After the match, Ancelotti was questioned about the team's next commitment and indicated changes. The Italian coach revealed that he will spare some players from the trip to the game, which will be away from home, against Arandina, in the second round of the Copa del Rey.

”The only players who will not travel are Kroos, who has some problems, Tchouaméni and Vinicius, who is in the final stretch of his recovery. Everything else will travel.”, he said.

Afterwards, Ancelotti made a point of praising Vini Jr. The Italian coach praised the player and attributed his quick recovery to his personality, his professionalism and the work done in follow-up with the club's doctors.

Injury suffered by Vini Jr was the same as months before

In November, the former Flamengo player was diagnosed with an injury to his biceps femoris left leg. On that occasion, Garoto do Ninho was substituted and left the field in the first half of the match against Colombia, in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

This, in fact, is the second muscular problem that the player has suffered. of Real Madrid faces this season. Not long ago, in August, Vinícius suffered a similar injury, but to his right leg, which left him inactive for a period of a month.

Last Wednesday (4), Flamengo held the seventh edition of the Sangue Rubro-negro campaign, at the Gávea headquarters. Hemorio's partner team was at the Gávea headquarters, from 10am to 3pm, collecting blood in the playground's party room. Athletes, employees and associates were able to donate and make a difference: each bag of blood can save up to four lives.

In addition to encouraging blood donation, the campaign also sought to raise awareness about the importance of this act of generosity and how it can save lives. “The partnership with Flamengo Social Responsibility is very important. More than attracting donors, this action seeks to awaken civic and social sentiment, ensure greater dissemination and demystify fears. It is an extremely educational and important action for maintaining stocks”, declared Dr. Renata de Almeida, a Hemorio doctor present at the action.

Blood donation is essential for health units to continue serving patients undergoing treatments and surgeries. The only way to guarantee the blood supply is through voluntary donations.

To donate blood, you must have an official identification document with photo, original or certified copy; be between 16 and 69 years old; be fed and in good health; weigh more than 50 kg; not be pregnant or breastfeeding. For more information about donating blood, visit www.hemorio.rj.gov.br or call 0800 282 0708. Hemorio is located at Rua Frei Caneca, nº 8, in the center of Rio. Donate blood, donate life!

Vini Jr will face the Barcelona team of striker Vitor Roque, a Brazilian promise and newcomer to Spain. But unlike the former Flamengo player, the center forward is still going through a natural period of adaptation to the new club and should start the final on the bench. Vitor Roque has played two games since his arrival and has spent 38 minutes on the field, with no goals or assists.

Real Madrid are looking for their 13th Spanish Super Cup title, while Barcelona, the competition's biggest winners, are behind of the 15th title and can prevent the rival from getting closer. The match will be broadcast on ESPN channels and the STAR+ streaming service.

Vini Jr is the most valuable Brazilian in the world

The two seasons of great performances for Real Madrid place Vinicius Júnior among the most valuable players in the world. In a study published by the Football Observatory (CIES Football Observatory), the star appears to be in third place in the ranking.

Vini Jr is third on the list with an estimated value of 250.3 million euros, which corresponds to R $1.34 billion. He is very close to Manchester City's Haaland's valuation at €251.2 million. In the current season, Vini has six goals and four assists in 15 matches for Real Madrid. The average of 0.6 direct participation per game is the second best of his career, behind only the season in which he won the Champions League and came in eighth place for the Best in the World award
