Rodrigo De Paul, a midfielder for Atlético de Madrid and the Argentine national team, was linked to Flamengo this week . However, according to Madrid-based journalist Tati Mantovani of TNT Sports Brasil, the player's most likely destination is Inter Miami in the United States, home to Lionel Messi.

The journalist also analyzed the player's technique and his potential adaptation to Brazilian football: "He's a very good player, but not in every context. Flamengo lost Gerson, and Rodrigo De Paul has some similar characteristics . He finishes well from outside the box and covers a lot of ground, but he needs protection from the back, especially from defensive midfielders," she assessed.

Flamengo confirmed, this Friday (8), the list of athletes registered for the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores da América. Among the news are Jorginho, Saúl, Emerson Royal, Samuel Lino and Carrascal , reinforcements signed in the last two windows - including the one that preceded the Club World Cup and the current one.
To make room for new names, Flamengo removed Felipe Lima, Jorge Mora, Rayan Lucas, as well as Gerson and Wesley, who were recently traded. The Rubro-Negro's first challenge in this phase will be against Internacional , next Wednesday (14), at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã.
The return leg is scheduled for the 20th at Beira-Rio. If they qualify, the club may make further roster changes before the quarterfinals. It's worth noting that Mais Querido is still searching for another striker to replace Pedro.
