As in practically all the last chapters of soap operas, Flamengo experienced its last moment of serialization this Friday (8), with the presentation of Léo Ortiz punctuating a long story with a happy ending. The signing of the defender from Red Bull Bragantino went back and forth, with situations that almost put an end to the conversations. It was difficult, but Mengão managed to achieve an objective pursued with persistence.
During the defender's presentation, vice-president Marcos Braz began by explaining the main reason he decided to a drawn-out negotiation: “It’s a great pleasure to be here presenting Léo (Ortiz). I think everyone followed the soap opera Léo Ortiz. The soap opera was based on the complexity of the athlete along with his quality and of course the financial part in which you have to adjust to make the signing”, began the director.
Braz did It's a question of thanking the player for his stance, as the main point: “I think we have to come here and say thank you on some points. Thank you to Leo, who from the first day we spoke, I think there was a mutual combination. We didn't let go anymore. And it was in this process: always respecting Bragantino, but we always had to respect our budget. It took a little while.”
The Mais Querido vice president continued with his thanks and highlighted how Tite, Rubro-Negro coach, was fundamental for the deal to be sealed and the barriers left to behind, with resilience, strategy and conviction.
“Thanks to Paulo, his manager. Good luck to you. He is a national team player, who was on the pre-list for the World Cup. Tite was more than important in this process because I think that when he asks to be hired, he doesn't ask for other names. He wanted you”, said Braz.
The arrival of Léo Ortiz marks Fla's third signing of reinforcements, which saw little movement compared to other years. But, very assertive, closing with Nicolás De La Cruz, Gávea's former dream and Matías Viña, a popular full-back who takes over the position in a sector that the Club needed.

Flamengo idol Adriano Imperador stated in an interview that he played more than some of the biggest names in world football. With a career marked by talent, physical strength, and humility , "Didico" continues to be fondly remembered by Flamengo fans.
During an appearance on the show Boteco do Chula, Adriano was asked if he had performed at a higher level than stars like Ronaldo, Romário, Ibrahimovic, Mbappé, Lewandowski, and Gabigol . The former player candidly stated that he considers himself superior to some of them.
In the Emperor's opinion, Kyllian Mbappé, Robert Lewandowski, and Gabigol are behind him . However, according to Adriano himself, Romário, Ibrahimovic , and Ronaldo Fenômeno are in a higher tier.
Adriano's most significant connection with the club came in the 2009 Brazilian Championship . During that campaign, the striker played in 30 of the 38 rounds, scoring 19 goals and contributing four assists. With him on the field, the team recorded 15 wins, seven draws, and eight losses. This victory was decisive not only for the club's recent history, but also for the Emperor's career.
Adriano recalls that title as the greatest moment of his career on the field. In a recent interview with GE, he highlighted the team's unity as a determining factor in winning the trophy: " Theoretically, I was down there, the team wasn't doing well. An unforgettable title for me. The group was very good. We really came together, and that made it possible for us to be champions, for sure ."
