Flamengo's executive director of football, Bruno Spindel, harshly criticized the refereeing after the 1-0 victory over Cruzeiro, this Wednesday (6). The director questioned the cancellation of Alcaraz's goal, which would have been Flamengo's second. The director also commented about John Textor's statements.

The decisive match will have Raphael Claus as the field referee and Daiane Muniz in charge of the VAR, a duo that, according to the director, has previously been involved in controversies unfavorable to Flamengo.
“Today's VAR decision against Flamengo worries us a lot for the final. I'm very worried. Whenever there is any doubt, the decision is always against Flamengo and this move is not even doubtful.”
The expectation is that Flamengo will maintain its good performance, as in the 3-1 victory in the first leg at Maracanã, and that the refereeing be impartial in the second match of the final. Rubro-Negro could even lose by a goal difference which will still lift the Copa do Brasil champion trophy.
