Flamengo's victory over Corinthians by 2-0 last Saturday (11), not only represented three points for the red and black team in the Brasileirão, but it was also the 10th consecutive time in which Fabrício Bruno was not dribbled. Absolute starter, the number 15 has been putting in great performances this season.
Fabricio Bruno's numbers
With great performances in 2024, Fabrício Bruno reached the 10th in a row without suffering a dribble. In this section, the defender has a 91% pass accuracy rate and only four fouls committed. In the last ten matches, the number 15 performed 55 defensive actions, recovered 36 balls and won 69% of the duels in which he participated.
It is worth remembering that in the Brasileirão, Fabrício Bruno has been playing suspended since the second round of the competition. With two yellow cards and being able to miss a game due to suspension, the number 15 has managed to perform without making many fouls and preserving himself for the rest of the tournament. This year, the defender has already played 20 matches, but has not yet scored goals.
The game
With one goal in each half, Flamengo beat Corinthians last Saturday (11). Mais Querido opened the scoring in the first stage with Pedro, top scorer of the red and black season. In a beautiful pass from Lorran, the number 9 controlled the ball inside the area, cleared the defender with ease and hit towards the goal. Carlos Miguel, goalkeeper for the São Paulo team, missed and let the ball go under his arms and into the back of the net.
The limit of players without a Brazilian passport is nine athletes and the Colombian is close to becoming Mengão's next reinforcement.

Colombian midfielder Jorge Carrascal is expected in Rio de Janeiro in the coming days to undergo medical examinations and sign a contract with Flamengo. With the player's arrival, the question arises: can the Rubro-Negro still sign more foreigners?
Since 2023, the CBF has increased the limit of foreign players listed per match in the Brazilian Championship from seven to nine. With Carrascal, the club now has eight foreign players on its roster: Rossi (Argentina), Pulgar (Chile), Plata (Ecuador), and Uruguayans Viña, Varela, De la Cruz, and Arrascaeta.
A recurring question concerns midfielder Jorginho, born in Brazil but naturalized Italian and a former Italian international. However, according to the 'GE' portal, the midfielder has dual citizenship and is considered Brazilian by the CBF . Therefore, he is not included in the foreign squad. Therefore, Flamengo still has a spot open for a foreigner on the roster, which can be used on a per-match basis.
The club continues to look at international players and is dreaming of signing Argentine striker Taty Castellanos from Lazio (ITA). However, the Italian club has no interest in negotiating him at this time, which hinders any progress.
It's worth remembering that the regulations don't prevent the club from having more than nine foreign players on the roster—the restriction only applies to the list of players selected for each game. For example, with Pulgar injured for two to three months , Flamengo would have room to include a tenth foreign player temporarily, without exceeding the limit of nine per game. Even so, the board doesn't intend to exceed this number.
In addition to Carrascal, Flamengo is still searching for a center forward and a left winger . If Wesley's sale is confirmed this transfer window, the club will likely also look for a new right-back to replace the youngster's departure.
Galo player was punished by the Superior Court of Justice (STJD) after posts with offensive and misogynistic content against the president of Palmeiras; the decision removes the player from decisions

Striker Dudu, currently at Atlético-MG , was suspended for six matches and fined R$90,000 by the Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD) . The punishment was applied this Friday (18), after the player published messages considered offensive and misogynistic against Leila Pereira, president of Palmeiras - the club where he played for almost a decade.
The decision was made by the 5th panel of the Superior Court of Justice (STJD) and is based on Article 243-G of the Brazilian Code of Sports Justice (CBJD), which addresses discriminatory and disrespectful behavior related to gender. Dudu's posts occurred during his turbulent departure from the São Paulo team in early 2025, en route to Cruzeiro, before joining Galo.
Dudu took to social media to express his dissatisfaction with the way he left the São Paulo club. In one message, posted in January, he wrote: " The truck was heavy and they told me to leave through the back doors!!! My story was huge and sincere, unlike yours, Mrs. @leilapereira. Forget me, VTNC."
The acronym "VTNC" was interpreted as a clear insult. The player's attempt to justify his claim that he was referring to "I Came to Work at Cruzeiro" was rejected by the auditors. Furthermore, another post he made called the director "#falsamaisdoquenotade2reais," which helped justify the penalty.
During the trial, held in Rio de Janeiro, Dudu did not appear in person because he had played the previous day with Atlético-MG , but he submitted a defense video. Leila Pereira was present at the court session.
With the punishment, Dudu will be out of action for Atlético-MG for six games organized by the CBF , which includes the rematch against Palmeiras this Sunday (20), for the 15th round of the Brasileirão, and the two games of the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil against Flamengo.
The team has been strengthening itself in the market with an eye on the rest of the season and announced the former Mais Querido defender this Friday (18)

While Flamengo continues in the market looking for reinforcements , Chapecoense signed former Flamengo and Grêmio defender Bressan for the rest of the season. The defender was presented last Thursday (17) as the new reinforcement for the Santa Catarina team to compete in the Brasileirão Series B.
Bressan celebrates agreement with Chapecoense: "It's a pleasure to be part of this project."
He continued: "I know it's a city that welcomes families very well, and I can see that within the group we have. This is important, it also makes things easier for us. Now with the arrival of my son, who will probably be born in Chapecó, my affection for the city certainly increases ," said the defender.
Bressan arrived at Flamengo in 2015, with the approval of coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo. The defender scored a goal for the Mais Querido, but lost his place and left the club at the end of the season, as he failed to establish himself within the team.
Thus, while Bressan reinforces Chapecoense in Series B, Flamengo's squad remains focused on Series A. The Most Beloved returns to the field this Sunday (20), in a match valid for the Brasileirão, at 7:30 pm, at Maracanã.
