Gerson and Arrascaeta are a big highlight in the 2023 Brasileirão. The two Flamengo players are at the top of very important rankings that talk about the athletes' performance in the competition, according to data collected, organized and published by the statistical portal Sofascore this Wednesday (11).

With the end of the 26th round of the Brazilian Championship this weekend, a summary was published of who the best athletes are in each part of a football game, so far. Both Gerson and Arrascaeta appear in two of these rankings, with 'Joker' being mentioned in third.

Among the players who created the most clear chances to score goals are Arrascaeta and Gerson, both with nine moments recorded by Sofascore. However, the Uruguayan is in second place, ahead of his teammate, because he managed to reach this mark with less time on the field. While Gerson has accumulated 1,799 minutes, Arrasca has played in the Brasileirão for just 981 minutes this season. In the lead, ahead of both is Eduardo, from Botafogo, with ten chances created.

In terms of decisive passes for the game, both offensively and defensively, Gerson is in 5th place, without the company of Arrascaeta. With 47 decisive passes, the Brazilian midfielder is behind Vitor Bueno from Athletico-PR (48 passes), Lucas Lima from Santos (49 passes), Lucas Evangelista from Bragantino (54 passes) and Cauly from Bahia (59 passes) .

In terms of assists, the two red-and-blacks are once again highlighted. Gerson has six assists in the championship, as have Hulk, from Atlético-MG, Luis Suárez, from Grêmio, and Lucas Evangelista, from Bragantino. However, he occupies second place, behind Evangelista, for having more time on the field (42 minutes more). In fifth place is the 'gringo', who only scored five.

It is interesting to note that the talent of the two players is not ignored. Both were called up to play for their respective teams (Brazilian and Uruguayan) during the FIFA Date in October and should even meet again on the field, but playing against each other, next Monday (17).
