Gilberto do Bahia will meet this Saturday (30) with his biggest enemy, Flamengo. The player has a long history with Rio teams and 'got tired' of facing Mais Querido, mainly because the results, for the most part, were not positive. The tricolor athlete is highlighted where he is now.

Having spent time at Vasco, Botafogo and Fluminense, Gilberto had the opportunity to wear the shirt of all the big teams in Rio de Janeiro, except Manto Sagrado. And the funny thing is that, at 30 years of age, it was against Manto that he played the most in his entire career. There were 19 matches played.

At Botafogo he played three classics against the red-black team. There were five of these while I was at Vasco. For Tricolor Rio, he managed to beat the mark of 11 FLA X FLU classics. In general, the full-back's record against the red and black team is three wins, seven draws and nine defeats. Thus, the utilization rate is around 28%.

SEE A SUMMARY OF THE GAMES AGAINST MENGÃO:

- With Botafogo: One victory, one draw and one defeat (44% success rate)

< p>- With Vasco: three draws and two defeats (20% performance)

- With Fluminense: two wins, three draws and six defeats (27% performance)

However, it should be mentioned that it was also against Flamengo that the right-back most revealed his offensive streak. In total, he scored three goals in almost 20 games played. The other clubs where he scored the most are Dynamo Kiev (playing for the Portuguese Benfica) and Salgueiro (playing for Fluminense), with two against each club.

In April 2019, when he was with Fluminense, he scored a memorable goal for the club. It was in the semi-finals of the Campeonato Carioca and with a draw the tricolor would advance to the stage. This happened after Gilberto scored the team's only goal, closing the score at 1-1 and eliminating a Flamengo team that dominated most competitions that year.

On Saturday afternoon (28), Flamengo held its last training session before facing Athletico-PR in the Brasileirão. A clash that could decide the future of coach Tite at Mengão, was attended by all the players considered to be starters, despite the expectation of a mixed team for Sunday (29).

In content published on social media of Flamengo, names like Bruno Henrique and Alex Sandro, who were starters in the Libertadores elimination, last Thursday (26), appear alongside young fledglings, such as Matheus Gonçalves and Evertton, who have been widely used in the “reserve team ” by Tite.

Flamengo may have held the last training session under Tite's command.

With his destiny becoming more uncertain at Flamengo, Tite may having led his last training session as coach of Rubro-Negro. There are four games without a win, a bad result, or poorly presented football against Athletico-PR, could mean the end of the line for the coach, just under a year after his arrival.

In the semi-finals of Copa do Brasil, where they face Corinthians, and in the G4 of the Brasileirão, Rubro-Negro's objective is clear, to become CdB champion, and remain in the classification zone for the next Libertadores in the points championship.
